Joe Biden was counting on Democrat judges, juries and prosecutors to hand him victory in November.
But Biden got some bad news.
And that’s because Donald Trump won a huge court victory that has all hell breaking loose.
Obama Judge Tanya Chutkan – who was working with Joe Biden prosecutor Jack Smith to hold the show trial for Donald Trump before Election Day – finally admitted to reality and pulled the scheduled March 4 trial from the calendar.
“The federal judge overseeing former President Donald J. Trump’s prosecution on charges of plotting to overturn the 2020 election issued an order on Friday scrapping the March 4 trial date for the case,” The New York Times reports.
“The order by Judge Tanya S. Chutkan was a formal confirmation of what had seemed fairly obvious for weeks. It came after she had made a series of hints that she was going to delay the trial as Mr. Trump pursues an effort to have the underlying charges tossed out with an argument that he enjoys complete immunity from prosecution,” the Times report continues.
This trial was to take place in D.C. where 95 percent voted against Donald Trump so the outcome of a guilty verdict in this rigged sham trial was already assured.
Trump’s best defense is to delay this kangaroo court until after the election.
Jack Smith knows Joe Biden is counting on him to win on a conviction before voting takes place and pulled out all the stops to violate Trump’s right to adequately prepare a legal defense and race this case to court.
But the trial is on hold as the D.C. Circuit Court deliberates Trump’s appeal to dismiss the charges due to presidential immunity.
The trial can’t start until this issue is resolved.
If Trump loses as expected – two of the three judges on the panel that heard his appeal are Democrats – Trump can then appeal to the Supreme Court.
That puts the ball in their court as the justices can either swiftly reject Trump’s appeal and let the lower court ruling stand knowing Trump will have a second bite at the appeal apple after a conviction in which case the Trump trial will likely start in late May, hear his appeal on an expedited review, or hear the case on its regular schedule meaning oral arguments won’t take place until October.
Joe Biden’s entire re-election strategy rests on the ability to attack Trump as a convicted felon.
Bloomberg/Morning Consult polls of seven key swing states show Trump winning 48 to 42.
Those polls also show immigration and the economy are the top issues for voters and Trump leads Biden by nearly 20 points on both.
But the polls also show that 53 percent will vote against Trump if a jury convicts him.
That’s why any victory Trump wins in delaying these trials past the election puts him one step closer to the White House.
