Democrats have a John Fetterman problem.
Many on the left feared their worst nightmare was about to come true.
And Chuck Schumer felt sick when he saw John Fetterman release this surprise video.
Democrats assumed they needed to win four Republican-held seats to reclaim the Senate majority.
But the wildcard was Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman.
Fetterman’s constant appearances on Fox News attacking Democratic Socialist candidates and his formation of a joint fundraising committee with Pennsylvania Republican Senator Dave McCormick led to speculation that if the Senate ended up 5149 Democrat after the election, Fetterman would jump to the GOP and allow Republicans to maintain the majority by virtue of Vice President JD Vance’s ability to cast a tie-breaking vote.
The speculation about Fetterman potentially switching parties reached a fever pitch when Fetterman filmed a video to play during the Republican Party’s midterm convention in Dallas.
“A big room of Republicans in Dallas. Yes, I’m Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania. Yes, I’m a Democrat,” Fetterman said during the video.
Fetterman claimed he was a “common-sense Democrat” and opposed to socialism.
“Why am I here talking to you today? Because, well, I’m a common-sense Democrat,” Fetterman added. “I’m always going to stand with America. I’m always going to reject the extremes in socialism and that anti-American way of life.”
Fetterman also expressed support for McCormick as a Republican he could work with.
“Dave McCormick is the kind of senator who gets the job done, and he’s going to fight for Pennsylvania. I’m proud to count him as my friend. Right back over my shoulder, that’s the iconic U.S. steel mill, and that’s exactly the kind of thing that will work together and will work with President Trump to fight and defend the steel way of life right here in the Steel Valley,” Fetterman added.
“I have this opportunity to introduce this great American, a great senator, and yes, he’s in a different party, but I’m proud to count him as my great friend,” Fetterman concluded.
This video was part of the dance Fetterman performed.
Polls out of Pennsylvania show independents approve of his performance in office because he offers meaningless rhetorical sops to Republicans while voting for the socialist left agenda when it matters.
“I don’t think that the Republican Party wants a pro-choice, pro-gay, trans communities, federal union, and you look at my voting record…I disagree with my party on some issues, like Israel, for example,” Fetterman had previously said when the topic of switching parties came up. “But you know, I am a Democrat, and if someone is frustrated in the Democratic Party, I would be frustrated with someone like Bernie Sanders.”
Fetterman then put the idea of joining the Republican Party to rest when he released a statement reaffirming his commitment to the Democrat Party.
