The walls are closing in fast.
Federal agents have already searched two homes, and Democrat attack dogs are scrambling to shut the whole thing down.
And now Fox News just confirmed this Ilhan Omar worst-case scenario.
The Trump administration upended Washington when federal agents banged on Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s door as part of a raid.
Authorities searched Omar’s home as part of a criminal investigation into allegations that Omar married her brother Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009 in a sham marriage to get him U.S. citizenship.
In an interview on Fox News, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin confirmed the sprawling nature of the probe, which, if it results in a conviction, can lead to stripping Omar of her citizenship and deporting her back to Somalia.
“HSI did a lot of investigation to be able to present the case to them. And I’ll just say this again, we’re enforcing our nation’s laws, and we’re going to do that. We’re not weaponizing. We’re not using political theater on this. Those of us involved in this case aren’t out here talking about it,” Mullin stated.
“We’re enforcing our nation’s laws across the board equally, and we’re going to continue to do that — and if Congress doesn’t like those laws, they can change it!” Mullin added.

Mullin has already called this a “strong case.” Agents served multiple warrants the same day they hit Omar’s D.C. home, and roughly a dozen grand jury subpoenas went out👀

Federal agents didn’t just search Omar’s home.
They also seized Omar’s sister’s phone.
They collected DNA evidence.
And they issued dozens of grand jury subpoenas.
“The subpoenas were issued for a grand jury collecting evidence in Minnesota as federal authorities probe potential fraud in Omar’s immigration paperwork, said the person, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss an ongoing investigation. The investigation led to federal agents searching Omar’s Washington, D.C. home on Monday just weeks before the November midterms, in which Omar is seeking reelection,” PBS reported.
United States Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro promised to follow the evidence where it leads.
“If there was a crime that was committed, it will be prosecuted,” Pirro stated.
Democrats who whined about the investigation into Omar standing as an example of Trump weaponizing the government against his political rivals have to contend with two inconvenient truths.
The first is that the Obama Justice Department also investigated Omar for entering into a sham marriage to commit immigration fraud.
But the Democrat prosecutors working there at the time allowed the statute of limitations to expire.
And the second is that a Democrat judge in D.C. signed off on the warrant to search Omar’s home.
