Sean Hannity and the rest of the crew on Fox News were stunned to see the election results roll in.
Hannity only had one thing left to say.
And all hell broke loose with this Sean Hannity on-air confession.
Democrats won at least 7 Senate seats and are projected to flip over 40 seats in the House of Representatives.
Exit polls showed the economy drove the Democrat surge, as 75% of voters described the economy as poor and 65% said President Trump’s policies made the economy worse.
Gas prices skyrocketing over $4 a gallon following the decision to go to war with Iran was the culprit for this voter dissatisfaction.
The exit polls also showed that 74% of voters said the Iran War played a role in their vote and that Democrats won 62% of these voters.
Sean Hannity was one of the leading voices on Fox News supporting the decision to go to war with Iran.
But on election night, Hannity was singing a different tune and admitted the war was a mistake that cost Republicans control of Congress.
“If we as a country, did not go into the war in Iran, and that was not on the agenda tonight, is this a much different race tonight?” host Brett Baier asked.
Hannity admitted that was “100%” the case and said rising gas prices clouded Americans’ view of the economy, which Hannity argued was overall strong.
“I think 100%. I don’t think there’s any doubt about it. I kind of want to go back to Harold while having this narrative. I agree with Larry Kudlow on the fundamentals of the economy; I’m a supply-side capitalist like Larry is. However, Harold [Ford] is correct: if people don’t feel it, then it is a problem,” Hannity stated.
Hannity argued that down the line, history will vindicate Trump, but that right now voters rendered their verdict on the resulting high gas prices.
“I would argue on Iran, there was, unfortunately, it’s the best thing for our children and grandchildren, but higher gas prices, how people feel, I think is the more dominant feeling force right now. So it gets complicated, because I really believe in the policies. I think the president will be proven correct, just like Reagan was, and Clinton in a lot of ways was, and even Obama. And that’s why two years from now, I think we’ll be in a different spot. He’ll have a complete grade,’ Hannity added.
BAIER: If we didn’t go to war with Iran, is this a much different race tonight?
HANNITY: I think 100 percent. I don’t think there’s any doubt about it. https://t.co/CTqzNGx1jG

Laura Ingraham was one Fox News host who opposed the war and she agreed with Hannity, saying the American people voted for Trump in large part because of his no new wars promise in 2024, and they punished Republicans for the decision to go to war with Iran, as they are tired of wars in the Middle East.
“He’s had an unbelievably successful set of political judgements, other than the Iran conflict, which has been really tough and not well explained — sorry, in my view — and I think the people just don’t like war. They just do not want to go to war,” Ingraham declared.
