It was another day at the office for White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
All that meant was Jean-Pierre added another lowlight to her blooper reel.
And that’s because a Hollywood icon humiliated Karine Jean-Pierre in this awful way.
Struggling Democrats know they can always count on trying to absorb the pop culture cred of Hollywood celebrities by standing next to them, which they hope leads the general public to think they are cool.
Jean-Pierre – who recent reports indicated Biden’s handlers wanted to force out – tried to pull off this trick.
But it turned into a fiasco as “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill couldn’t pull off cool in the Arctic.
A disheveled Hamill – who looked like he just came out of hibernation in a cardboard box under a bridge – took the podium wearing a pair of Joe Biden’s trademark aviators and began reeling, lavishing North Korean-style “Dear Leader” praise on Biden.
“How many of you had ‘Mark Hamill will lead the press briefing’ on your bingo card? Hands? Yeah. Me either. And look, I just got to meet the president, and he gave me these aviator glasses. I love the merch. I love it all. But listen, I just wanted to say I was honored to be asked to come to the White House to meet the president, the most legislatively successful president in my lifetime,” Hamill began.
Hamill then took some softball questions which were really about how lucky he was to bask in the awesomeness that is Joe Biden.
The scene really got uncomfortable when Hamill began reeling off some super cringe “Star Wars”-themed jokes about Biden.
“I called him ‘Mr. President.’ He said, ‘You can call me Joe.’ And I said, ‘Can I call you Joe-bi-Wan Kenobi?’ He liked that,” Hamill stated.
At that point even Hamill knew he was bombing so bad that throwing the briefing back to Jean-Pierre was actually the best course of action.
Mark Hamil led the White House press briefing today, soooo cringe. Looks like Skywalker showed up in support for the emperor.

This appearance by Hamill accomplished nothing.
Hamill hasn’t been a big film star since the early 1980s with his most notable work in recent decades coming as a voice actor with his performance as the Joker for animated “Batman” TV shows and movies serving as a real high point.
But Hamill wasn’t there to speak on behalf of any specific cause.
Hamill just showed up to endorse Joe Biden.
However, not even Luke Skywalker could pull off a Jedi mind trick to make voters buy Hamill’s claim that Joe Biden is the most “successful president” in his lifetime.
