The home stretch of the midterm election is nearly here.
Political realities in key races are taking shape.
And all hell broke loose when Laura Ingraham dropped this 2026 bombshell.
Republicans are bracing for a tough midterm election cycle.
Historically, the party out of power gains seats, and with Democrats only needing to flip three to win control of the House of Representatives, the GOP knows it’s an uphill climb in that chamber.
But the real prize is control of the U.S. Senate.
A Democrat-run Senate drives a stake through the heart of the Trump presidency, since that means Majority Leader Chuck Schumer can block all Trump nominations, especially judicial picks.
Republicans took heart, knowing that flipping four seats would require winning races in ruby-red bastions that Trump won by double digits in 2024, such as Alaska, Texas, Iowa, Ohio, and Florida.
However, according to Laura Ingraham and key conservative activists, Republicans shouldn’t get too comfortable as the political environment is rapidly deteriorating thanks to the Senate GOP’s failure to pass key Trump agenda items like the SAVE Act.
“I think Republicans are kind of whistling past the graveyard on some of these Senate seats that they thought were safe,” Ryun warned about the South Carolina, Alaska, Nebraska, Ohio, and Iowa Senate races.
Ingraham singled out the Senate race in Texas, where Paxton couldn’t afford to run TV ads all summer following his expensive primary win over RINO incumbent John Cornyn, and the GOP establishment hung him out to dry by not offering any financial backup.
“Is he campaigning?” Ingraham wondered.
Ingraham then singled out Iowa as a state that she believes is particularly troublesome and told Republicans to “get their act together” before it was too late.
“Iowa,” Ingraham stated. “I think there are several states that Republicans better get their act together. Iowa is one of them.”
The polling for the GOP in Senate races isn’t looking good.
Ingraham’s analysis was likely formed after her own network’s Senate polling showed Democrats leading in enough states to win control of the Senate.
