President Trump uncovered an act of treachery.
The President was stunned to learn how his supposed allies were plotting against him.
And Trump saw one damning video that just made him mad as hell.
President Trump’s announcement that he was leaving Acting Director of National Intelligence Bill Pulte in place and pulling Jay Clayton, his nominee for the permanent position, from his confirmation hearing after he learned why RINO Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) colluded with Democrats to fast-track Clayton’s confirmation and prevent Pulte from ever holding the position.
Trump saw a clip of former chief strategist Steve Bannon delivering a speech in which Bannon said that Thune and other swamp figures were terrified that Pulte was going to complete former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s investigation into the 2020 election.
“Steve Bannon, a MAGA pundit and outside Trump ally, gave a speech to a Las Vegas conference on Tuesday night declaring that Democrats don’t want Pulte to serve as director of national intelligence because he will ‘get his hands on the stolen elections that the apparatus has allowed and covered up.’”
Trump was alerted to that clip, according to a source familiar with the situation. Hours later, he posted on Truth Social, slowing down Clayton’s confirmation,” Semafor reported.
Thune was already on thin ice with Trump and many of his supporters over Thune killing the SAVE Act by refusing to round up the votes to terminate the filibuster so Republicans could pass the vital election integrity bill via a simple majority vote.
“The only way you can get … this done is to nuke the legislative filibuster, and that is not something that we have anywhere close to the votes to do,” Thune told reporters when he made excuses about why he refused to do his job as majority leader and round up the votes to pass the SAVE Act.
Pro-Trump allies in Congress said they understood Trump’s frustration since the Senate was sabotaging his agenda,
“You got to play to win; don’t play to survive. And we’re not getting anything done. And the only thing we’ve got done is reconciliation,” Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) said in an interview with Semafor.
“The president’s playing hardball. You can tell he’s running on fumes with no sleep, traveling and all that,” Tuberville continued.
The White House took the high road in the face of Thune’s backstabbing.
“The White House and President Trump have enjoyed working closely with Leader Thune and Senate Republicans to deliver on many important promises to the American people,” a statement from White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson read. “We look forward to continuing these close relationships and fulfilling President Trump’s priorities that Americans elected him to enact.”
