Joe Biden set out to fundamentally transform America.
Biden waged a two-year-long war on Americans’ constitutional freedoms.
And now Joe Biden made a promise that is going to land him in the Supreme Court.
Polls show a majority of Democrats do not want Joe Biden to run for a second term.
Multiple polls also show Joe Biden losing to Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Biden tried to rally the base by launching an attack on the Second Amendment rights of American citizens.
During a campaign-style speech Biden declared his support for banning so-called “assault weapons” and “high-capacity magazines.”
Biden bragged about how he led the fight to pass the so-called “assault weapons” ban in 1994.
“I’m determined, once again, to ban assault weapons in high-capacity magazines. I led that fight to ban them in 1994. The ten years that law was in place, mass shootings went down,” Biden stated.
Biden complained that Republicans let the so-called “assault weapons” ban expire in 2004 which Biden then falsely blamed for mass shootings.
“Our Republican friends let it expire ten years later and mass shootings tripled since then, tripled. So let’s finish the job. Ban assault weapons. Ban them again. Do it now. Enough. Do something,” Biden ranted.
“Do something big!” Biden exclaimed.

But with Republicans holding a majority in the House of Representatives and enough votes in the Senate to sustain a filibuster there is no chance Congress will actually pass a so-called “assault weapons” ban.
That’s why Biden also announced a new scheme to create the closest possible approximation of a national gun registration database through executive fiat.
The Hill reports:
The goal of the executive order, set to be unveiled during a Biden visit to Monterey Park, Calif., is to move the U.S. as close to a system of universal background checks for all gun sales as possible without requiring legislation from Congress. Biden has called for Congress to pass universal background checks, but such legislation is a non-starter in the GOP-controlled House.
The order will direct Attorney General Merrick Garland to ensure that gun sellers “who do not realize they are required to run background checks under existing law, or who are willfully violating existing law, become compliant with background check requirements,” according to a fact sheet released by the White House.
After Republicans won the Senate in 2014 Barack Obama declared that he had a “pen and a phone” and planned to govern by executive order.
Obama signed an order granting amnesty for illegal aliens which the courts quickly struck down.
Conservatives are sure to file suit to stop Biden’s national gun registration database scheme.
And depending on how badly Biden wants to fight for this gun grab it could go all the way to the Supreme Court.
