Donald Trump is narrowing down his shortlist to be his running mate.
One name looks like it’s now no longer under consideration.
And this Donald Trump vice-presidential pick just got some really bad news.
RINO Congresswoman Elise Stefanik reinvented herself from being a former Bush administration official and Paul Ryan acolyte into a MAGA wannabe by defending Trump during the Ukraine impeachment hoax.
Some in Trump’s orbit thought Stefanik being a woman from a New York district would soften Trump’s image with suburban female voters.
But conservatives were leery thanks to Stefanik’s support for Liz Cheney’s foreign policy, amnesty and special rights for transgenders.
The final straw came when Stefanik was one of 86 Republicans to join Joe Biden, Democrats and the deep state in rejecting an amendment to a FISA reauthorization bill that would have required the government to obtain a warrant to spy on American citizens.
Turning Point USA head Charlie Kirk declared on his podcast that Stefanik’s vote was unforgivable and that it ended any chance of Trump naming her as his running mate.
“Elise Stefanik you have ended your running to be Donald Trump’s vice president. Elise Stefanik, you’re done! We will now actively oppose you to be Trump’s VP. Nice person. You just ended your VP political career. All that ambition for nothing,” Kirk declared.
The deep state weaponized FISA courts to spy on Trump during the 2016 campaign.
Now Stefanik is voting for allowing Biden to illegally spy on Trump supporters without obtaining a warrant.
Kirk is a highly influential voice in Trump world as he ran Youth for Trump in 2020 and his podcast reaches a large swath of the GOP base.
Conservatives in Congress were furious.
Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) lamented that votes like this were how the Constitution died.
“This is how the Constitution dies. By a tie vote, the amendment to require a warrant to spy on Americans goes down in flames. This is a sad day for America.”
Matt Gaetz (R-FL) – another stalwart Trump ally – warned the 86 RINO sellouts that he would endorse and campaign for primary challengers against them for their unforgivable betrayal of Donald Trump and his base.
“Every one of these members who voted against a warrant requirement, they are the deciding vote. They own it and some of them may see me showing up in their districts very soon to campaign against them and to stand for the Constitution,” Gaetz stated.
Conseravtives never trusted Elise Stefanik no matter how thorough a MAGA makeover she attempted to undergo.
This vote just confirms their suspicions that she was a RINO swamp loyalist from the get-go.
