Joe Biden stole classified documents and the scandal sent Democrats scattering like rats off a sinking ship.
The reason why will shock you.
And Tucker Carlson let the cat out of the bag on why Democrats just flipped on Joe Biden.
Democrats did not try to defend Joe Biden stealing classified documents and stashing them in his house and think tank.
California Congressman Adam Schiff — a fierce partisan and dedicated Trump hater — told ABC’s “This Week” he agreed with Attorney General Merrick Garland appointing a special counsel to investigate Biden.
“I still would like to see Congress do its own assessment of — and receive an assessment from — the intelligence community of whether there was an exposure to others of these documents, whether there was harm to national security, on the case of either set of documents with either president,” Schiff began.
“I think the special counsel was appropriately appointed,” Schiff continued.
Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock — who some speculate could replace Kamala Harris on the 2024 ticket if Biden opts for a shakeup or run for president himself in 2028 — also applauded Garland’s decision to appoint a special counsel.
“Classified documents are to be taken seriously,” Warnock stated. “And they are to be handled with a great deal of care. And no one is above the law. So I’m glad to see the Justice Department doing its work, and we ought to let that work proceed … Nobody’s above the law. And we need to get to the bottom of this so that we don’t see this kind of thing happen again.”
It’s unthinkable for rising-star elected officials who have ambitions for higher office — Schiff wants to run for Senate and Warnock is looking national — to criticize a president from their own party in these terms.
Special counsel investigations are notoriously unpredictable affairs and rarely end well for the target — which is always the president.
During a recent broadcast Tucker Carlson addressed the spectacle of Democrats pulling the plug in real time on Joe Biden’s presidency.
“If you’re a normal person, it’s a pretty weird experience watching Joe Biden’s presidency get euthanized by his own party,” Carlson stated. “On one hand there’s an undeniable thrill to it, you have to admit that. Biden is the most destructive president in American history. More things have broken under his watch than under any other president. Joe Biden deserves to be driven from office and disgraced.”
Carlson scoffed at the idea Democrats were turning on Biden over the theft of classified documents which Carlson deemed a relatively minor offense in the grand scheme of things.
“But for this? Breaking federal classification rules, some of the stupidest and most dishonest laws Congress has ever passed?” Carlson continued. “It’s like arresting El Chapo for expired plates, it’s missing the point.”
Carlson protested that stealing classified documents seemed like a jaywalking-level offense compared to the crimes Biden committed against the Constitution and the American people on the border, the continually escalating proxy war with Russia, crime-ridden cities, and the recession.
“What a missed opportunity this is,” Carlson continued. “If you’re looking for crimes Joe Biden has committed, there is a very long list. Our country is being invaded, the world is on the brink of nuclear war, American cities have become slums, our economy is in shambles, even our airplanes no longer take off on time. It’s a disaster and Joe Biden and his staff have a hand in all of it.”
But Democrats also saw midterm exit polls showing 67 percent of Americans do not want Joe Biden to run for a second term.
This stems mainly from Biden’s age — he will turn 82 in 2024 — and the realization that Biden is senile.
And in Carlson’s view Democrats seized on the stolen classified documents as the means to force Biden to step aside.
