President Trump needed to remind everyone, once again, that he is the undisputed king of the Republican Party.
The establishment learned this lesson the hard way.
And these RINO Judases crossed Trump and made the worst mistake of their lives.
Democrat states like California and Virginia were drawing their Congressional maps to erase a combined nine Republican held seats.
This was double the number of seats Democrats needed to flip to win back the majority in the House of Representatives.
President Trump pushed Indiana Republicans to counter by redrawing their map to add an additional Republican seat in a state Trump won three times in landslide victories.
Led by RINO Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray, a collection of establishment Republicans connected to former Vice President Mike Pence rejected Trump’s redisctiing push.
Trump then proceeded to endorse primary challengers to eight Indiana State Senate incumbents.
When the dust settled on election night, Trump won 7 races with one too close, a show of force that demonstrated how foolish it is for elected Republicans to defy Trump if they wish to remain in office.
Club for Growth President David McIntosh, who helped fund the $13.5 million to oust the anti-Trump RINOs, crowed that this showed that Trump and Trump alone still chartedt he court for the GOP.
“It’s a sign that the party’s ready to follow the president on this and also turn over a new leaf, and get younger, newer leaders in the state Senate,” McIntosh told POLITICO.
“It’s a signal to Republicans everywhere: we want you to think of yourself as a team, help each other win, and don’t just be lone actors out there beating your chest or proving your ground, and I think that’s an important signal as the party gets ready for the midterms,” McIntosh added.
One of the RINOs Trump crushed was State Senator Greg Walker.
When Trump invited Indiana Republicans to the White House to make his case for a new map, Walker scoffed at the offer and claimed Trump worked for him.
“Mr. President is on my payroll, but I know he is not requesting a work review; I decline the offer,” Walker wrote to a reporter via text.
Walker then accused Trump of breaking the law by even scheduling the meeting.
“I refused the invitation, but the underling who reached out to me is trying to influence the election on my dime,” Walker said to The Republic. “That individual works for me. He works for you. He’s on my payroll, he’s on your payroll, and he’s campaigning on company time. That’s a violation of the Hatch Act. He’s a federal employee. He works in the White House. But does anyone care about the rules anymore? Not that I can tell.”
“How can Trump have the time and interest to bother with a nobody like me when there are so many things on his plate that are so much more important for our country?” Walker added. “It just boggled my mind that he doesn’t have any jurisdiction over how Indiana chooses the maps to begin with. We’ve already done our job. That’s all over, right? The whole idea came out of Washington to begin with.”
Walker lost his primary by nearly 18 points.
