No one could believe it when the news broke.
Nancy Pelosi’s life got turned upside down.
And all hell broke loose when Nancy Pelosi ended up in this criminal case.
The U.S. House Clerk rocked Washington with the bombshell news that law enforcement delivered a subpoena to Nancy Pelosi for documents in a third-party criminal case.

Speculation quickly turned to what this could be about.
Shortly thereafter, Pelosi released a statement revealing that it involved the criminal case against David DePape, the mentally ill man who allegedly broke into the Pelosi home and cracked her husband Paul over the head with a hammer last October.
“This is to notify you formally pursuant to Rule Eight of the rules of the House of Representatives, that I, the Honorable Nancy Pelosi, Speaker Emerita, and U.S. Representative for the 11th Congressional District of California, have been served with third party subpoenas from the prosecution and the defendant to produce documents in a criminal case and United States District Court for the Northern District of California,” Pelosi’s statement read.
“After consultation with the Office of General Counsel, I have determined that compliance with the subpoenas is consistent with the privileges and of the House to the extent it requires production of non-privileged information. The responses to the subpoenas will be identical,” Pelosi concluded.
This attack – while horrifying – served the Democrat Party’s political interests.
DePape was someone who suffered from mental illness and at various times in his life held political views on both the left and right.
But the media seized on his recent fascination with right-wing politics to amplify Joe Biden’s message of the Big Lie that Donald Trump marshalled an army of domestic extremists to carry out politically motivated acts of terror.
Leftists are the ones guilty of using violence as a political tool.
A Bernie Sanders supporter tried to kill 20 Republican members of Congress over attempts to repeal Obamacare.
Black Lives Matter and Antifa unleashed a wave of domestic terror and riots in the summer of 2020 which essentially amounted to an anti-Trump protest.
And a Joe Biden voter traveled from California to Maryland attempting to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh after Kavanaugh voted to overturn Roe v. Wade.
None of those facts mattered to the press who were completely in the tank for Democrats and acted like Donald Trump personally ordered DePape to invade the Pelosi home and bash their skulls in with a hammer.
The ploy worked as enough suburban swing voters bought into the smear campaign about Trump and his supporters that Democrats were the winners of the midterm elections.
