House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) unveiled the bombshell testimony from IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley.
Shapley testified to Congress about the systematic efforts by the Department of Justice to obstruct the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden and shield Joe Biden from questions about his role in a foreign influence peddling scheme.
In his testimony, Shapley revealed that investigators came into possession of a July 30, 2017, WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden to CEO and President of Harvest Fund Management Henry Zhao, an individual with links to the Chinese Communist Party.
Harvest Fund Management reportedly paid Hunter Biden $100,000 and Hunter Biden was not happy with the arrangement.
Hunter Biden messaged Zhao to shake him down with a warning that Joe Biden was sitting right next to him and that their dispute better get resolved on terms that Hunter Biden found favorable or else Biden would involve his dad and the leverage that came with the connections to the former vice president.
“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled,” the message read. “Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight. And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father,” Biden wrote.
Their warnings fell on deaf ears.
In August 2020, a search warrant uncovered a text between Hunter and Henry Zhao, an executive at a Chinese company that paid Hunter $100,000.

This message undercut Joe Biden’s longstanding claim that he never discussed business with Hunter Biden.
Joe Biden may have been in the room for an attempt to strongarm a business tied to the Chinese Communist Party into enriching the Biden family.
And it was just one of the many bombshells that Shapley dropped in his testimony.
Shapley revealed that the Justice Department interfered in the investigation by restricting the jurisdictions U.S. Attorney David Weiss could bring charges in.

By limiting Weiss to the District of Columbia it allowed the statute of limitations to expire on charging Hunter Biden with violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
The IRS also sought to charge Hunter Biden with felony tax evasion on over two million dollars in unpaid taxes which the Biden Justice Department rejected.
Conservatives contend this is corruption on a never-before-seen scale which warrants immediate impeachment proceedings against Joe Biden, Merrick Garland and other Deep State agents.
