Megyn Kelly interviewed Donald Trump for the first time in seven years.
Trump caught everyone off guard.
And what Trump confessed to Megyn Kelly will leave you speechless.
Trump once again reminded Americans that he possesses the capacity to constantly surprise both his fans and critics.
Kelly began the interview with Trump by asking the 45th president for his thoughts about House Republicans opening up an impeachment inquiry.
Democrats victimized Trump with two impeachments that were shams from the start.
This time Republicans had evidence of actual wrongdoing and corruption by Biden unlike how Nancy Pelosi initiated Trump’s first impeachment by using a lone, partisan whistleblower to initiate the hoax impeachment.
Trump – in what came as a shock to many – didn’t gloat over Biden facing an impeachment inquiry.
Instead, Trump argued impeachment is always a horrible thing for the country.
But Trump said that as horrible as impeachment is, Joe Biden’s disastrous decision to open the border and launch a multi-trillion-dollar socialist spending spree which sent inflation spiraling out of control is even worse.
“Look, it’s a horrible precedent. Our country is going to hell whether it’s impeachment or not impeachment. This man is destroying our country at the border. He’s destroying it economically. Inflation’s way up now. You see what happened just today?” Trump stated.
Republicans used the precedent set by Nancy Pelosi in 2019 and 2021 by opening an impeachment inquiry into Trump without holding a full vote of the House of Representatives.
“That’s up to them if they want to do impeachment or impeachment inquiry. I never had an inquiry. Nancy Pelosi, Crazy Nancy, said, ‘We’re going to impeach him.’ They didn’t do inquiries. They went out and they voted because they had the votes,” Trump continued.
But Trump explained that Democrats were the ones that set these rules and Republicans needed to make Democrats live under their own standards.
Under Nancy Pelosi the Democrats wielded impeachment like a vote of no confidence in a parliamentary system.
Republicans warned Democrats this precedent would come back to haunt them.
And Trump said that day is at hand.
“And they did it to me. And had they not done it to me, I think, and nobody officially said this, but I think had they not done it to me, and I’m very popular in the Repu– and they like me and I like them. The Republican Party, perhaps you wouldn’t have it being done to them. And this is going to happen with indictments, to fake indictments. And I think you’re going to see that as time goes by, you’re going to see Republicans when they’re in power doing it. And it’s a shame when that happens. I’m not in favor of that. But that’s what’s going to happen because that’s human nature,” Trump declared.
