A big name inside the Democrat Party is gearing up for a 2028 Presidential run.
But now all hell is breaking loose.
And that’s because a Democrat sex scandal just got a lot worse. Anna Paulina Luna has the details.
Arizona Democrat Senator Ruben Gallego thinks he’s the answer to how Democrats win back Hispanics and young men in 2028.
Gallego votes like Bernie Sanders, but presents himself as a veteran from a swing state who says Democrat polticies alienated Hispanics and young men by making it too expensive to buy a “big *** truck.”
But the fallout from Eric Swalwell’s resignation from Congress and ending his gubernatorial campaign after rape allegations now threatens Gallego’s political ambitions.
Gallego and Swalwell were good friends who palled around socially and on foreign trips.
When the accusations against Swalwell broke, a nervous-looking Gallego stammered and stuttered his way through what critics called unconvincing denials about his knowledge of Swalwell’s conduct.

After the Swalwell scandal exploded, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) posted on social media that the Swalwell scandal was soon to hit the Senate.
“It seems like the Senate has its own trash to take out. @LeaderJohnThune You need to look into the allegations against one of your Senators; it’s very disturbing. My chief will be contacting your chief,” Luna posted on X.
In an interview with CBS News’s Major Garrett, Luna confirmed she was referring to Gallego and that Gallego would face sexual misconduct allegations.
Luna told Garrett that “there is a woman who is allegedly coming forward with attorneys [and] wants to go on record about an incident that occurred between the two of them at the same time, and the event was sexual in nature, allegedly.”
Luna hinted that the allegations involved sex workers.
“I think any time that you are knowingly engaging in purchasing someone for sex, that that is something that should be taken seriously,” Luna added.
As a Hispanic veteran from a Sun Belt swing state, Gallego would be well-positioned in 2028 to run for President and make the short list for Vice President should he not win the nomination.
Now there is an open question if this scandal will render him such damaged goods that he will not even enter the 2028 race at all, and if he can run for re-election in 2030.
