Democrats game-planned the 2026 midterm election.
But they never expected this shocker.
And Chuck Schumer got some bad news when this hidden video from the past surfaced.
Real Clear Politics shows Democrat James Talarico holding a slight 2.4% lead over Attorney General Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate race.
Establishment Republicans are attempting to sabotage Paxton and cause him to lose by withholding fundraising for his campaign.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune won’t authorize the Senate Leadership Fund Super PAC or the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee to spend one penny on TV ads supporting Paxton.
Texas is one of the Republican-held seats Democrats are targeting to flip the Senate, and the GOP establishment would rather see Schumer as majority leader to punish conservatives for ousting pro-amnesty, pro-gun control RINO incumbent John Conryn in the primary.
The problem for Democrats looking to check off Texas as one of their pickups is the fact that Talarico is a woke leftist far outside the state’s mainstream.
CNN’s K-File unearthed a video recording of a Zoom call Talarico did with the Sierra Club in 2020 when he was running for the Texas State House.
The video shows Talarico attacking capitalism as linked to “white supremacy” and claiming it was linked to climate change.
Talarico also called for “dismantling” capitalism since he claimed it was racist.
“I am so thankful that you asked this question and also thankful that young activists have really drawn the link between climate change and White supremacy and capitalism in our country,” Talarico stated. “And I think only by ending the ways that all three of those oppressive systems work together are we gonna be able to begin the process of dismantling them.”
Talarico also called for ending Texas’s oil and gas industry, a key goal of the Green New Deal, the crown jewel of Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist domestic agenda.
“We all know that Texas has been a leader in oil and gas, but in many ways that’s like being the leader in cassette tapes in the 1980s,” Talarico added. “That industry is not gonna last. And if we wanna ensure we have an economy that’s gonna work for our children and our children’s children, we gotta be ahead of the curve, and Texas has to lead instead of follow on this issue.”
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, President Trump responded to these comments by mocking Talarico as “Talafeeako” and predicting he was too radical to win in Texas.
“Well, that’s one of the least of the bad things he has said. He’s said a lot of bad things. I mean, they have a name, a nickname for him. I don’t want to use it, but the name happens to be ‘Talafreako’ because he is one of the worst candidates I’ve ever seen,” Trump stated.
The GOP establishment may secretly want to see Talarico win this race.
Talarico’s record of opposition to capitalism and oil and natural gas could be a game changer in this race.
