It’s crunch time in the 2026 midterm election.
Control of Congress and the future of the Trump agenda are on the line.
And all hell broke loose when Trump uncovered this terrible act of election sabotage.
The Texas Senate race between James Talarico and Ken Paxton is the marquee race of the cycle.
Trump-supporting Super PACs poured in nearly $200 million in TV ads as Talarico leads in the polls, due in large part to establishment RINOs sitting out the election because Paxton crushed incumbent Senator John Cornyn by 28 points in the primary.
Conservatives ousted Cornyn after Cornyn wrote Joe Biden’s gun control bill and declared he was running for a second term to pass an amnesty bill.
Cornyn reportedly said Paxton needs to lose to “teach” Republicans a lesson.
Former Bush strategist and current Fox News commentator Karl Rove refused to say if he would vote for Paxton and attacked the Republican base as Nazis.
Trump put both on blast in a post on Truth Social where Trump said it would be RINOs like Cornyn and Paxton to blame.
“Sadly, and very stupidly, John Cornyn, and his Liddle’ Buddy, Super RINO, Karl Rove, are doing everything possible to make it hard for Ken Paxton, the Greatest Attorney General in the History of Texas, and one of the Best in the United States, to win the upcoming Midterm Election against a Radical Left Lunatic, James TalaFREAKO, who is the ANTITHESIS of Texas Values,” Trump began.
Trump ripped Cornyn and Rove for boosting Talarico, who said God is non-binary, the Bible supports abortion, and that he “loves” transgender kids.
“John Cornyn, who, after my Endorsement, lost the Primary to Ken by a very wide margin, and Karl Rove, who shouldn’t be allowed to spew his jealousy on Fox News, should be ashamed of themselves. They are hurting Texas and, more importantly, hurting the United States of America!” Trump added.
“If Ken Paxton loses, it will be because of WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Political Hacks like John Cornyn and Karl Rove, who have ineffectively opposed me for my entire political career,” Trump continued.
Trump won Texas by 13 points in 2024.
Talarico’s only path to victory is a fractured GOP base, which is why Trump called on all Republicans in Texas to unite behind Paxton.
“As your ALL TIME WINNER in the History of Texas, ‘Trump won 96% of the Counties in Texas, 242 of 254. Harris won only 12 counties (Fox News),’ and by MILLIONS of Popular Votes, the Highest in the History of Texas, your favorite President (ME!) is asking all of those who supported Senator John Cornyn to UNITE, and immediately switch your support to Ken Paxton,” Trump went on to say.
“He will be a Great Senator, just like he is a Great Attorney General. We cannot take a chance on having a FREAKO, sometimes referred to as James TalaFREAKO, as our man in Washington, D.C., representing the magnificent people of the Great State of Texas!” Trump concluded.
Rove and Cornyn represent the Bush wing of the GOP that lost power when Trump took over the party in 2016.
They’ve been plotting a comeback ever since, and the next step in their scheme is tanking Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate race.
