President Trump slammed Barack Obama’s Iran nuclear deal as the worst deal ever and tore it up in 2018.
Trump’s main criticisms of the deal were that Obama sent Iran pallets of cash up front and didn’t put any real provisions in place to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
In the new deal that Trump signed, Iran would only receive sanctions relief if it follows through on dismantling its nuclear program.
Democrats proved they were shameless opportunists since they should supposedly be in favor of ending the war through a diplomatic agreement.
Instead, they tried to fake a new hoax about Obama’s deal being tougher than Trump’s deal so they could attack Republicans during the midterm election campaign.
In an interview on MSNOW, host Jen Psaki asked Pelosi and Trump’s using a G-7 press conference to point out how weak Obama’s deal was compared to his.
“Just today at a press conference, he name-dropped President Obama in a press conference, which was a completely crazy press conference where he barely understood what was in the Iran nuclear deal to begin with. Why do you think I’ve been thinking about this? Why do you think President Trump is so obsessed with Barack Obama?” Psaki added.
No one in American politics suffers from a worse case of Trump Derangement Syndrome than Nancy Pelosi, and the lunatic rant Pelosi uncorked was true to form, calling Obama’s Iran deal a “masterpiece of diplomacy.”
“Well, I think it relates to his own failures. You have to understand. Well, you do understand, but the public should understand that Obama’s nuclear agreement with Iran was a masterpiece of diplomacy. Remember that we brought in all of the countries, the EU, and all G20 countries all over the world, including Russia and China. So to have this virtuoso performance of having an agreement on nuclear to do so in a way that withstood the scrutiny, the review of it all by so many people, and they have, and then it was a success. We were very proud,” Pelosi added.
This wasn’t true, as Vice President JD Vance noted that the other Gulf nations hated Obama’s Iran nuclear deal precisely because it didn’t constrain Iran.
Pelosi then doubled down on the falsehood that Trump paid Iran $300 billion when in reality that money represents potential investments by other Gulf nations that only come to fruition if Iran.
“For this president to have torn it up and now coming back was even what the Republicans said was a failure. It’s a failure if we’re getting $300 billion for reconstruction to lift the sanctions on the sale of oil, but to do so many things that, again, unfreeze the money and banks that they have wanted to have unfrozen. Just a ridiculous giveaway and not addressing the one complaint that people had about the Obama nuclear agreement with Iran was that it didn’t address the ballistic missiles, and neither does this,” Pelosi concluded.
