For years, Adam Schiff has been the one calling for Donald Trump to end up behind bars.
Now the shoe is on the other foot.
And Adam Schiff just got some really bad news about going to prison.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Schiff admitted that he and the other members of the January 6 Select Committee could face criminal prosecution if Donald Trump wins the White House.
Schiff tried to fit these worries into Joe Biden’s lies about Donald Trump wanting to be a dictator.
“We’re taking this seriously, because we have to,” Schiff told the Times. “We’ve seen this movie before … and how perilous it is to ignore what someone is saying when they say they want to be a dictator.”
The question came from the Times came in response to Trump warning that Democrats opened Pandora’s box by weaponizing the justice system to indict him on 91 sham charges all for the express purpose of interfering in the 2024 election.
The Blaze founder Glenn Beck asked Trump if Trump regretted not prosecuting Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified documents, the same charge Joe Biden now wants to put him in jail for until he dies.
Trump said that Democrats who faced allegations of criminal activity would face investigations and potential prosecution if he wins.
“Well, I’ll give you an example… The answer is you have no choice, because they’re doing it to us,” Trump told Beck.
Trump also posted on Truth Social that January 6 committee witness Cassidy Hutchinson – who told the committee a false story about Trump trying to commandeer his Secret Service vehicle on January 6 and attacking his driver – as well as other committee members should go to jail.
Schiff’s fears of facing an investigation may be well founded.
The House Administration’s Subcommittee Chairman Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) produced a report that the committee destroyed records and withheld evidence, which only served to increase the volume of calls among conservatives to investigate members of the January 6 committee for obstruction of justice.
“She should go to Jail along with the rest of the Unselect Committee!” Trump wrote of Hutchinson and the committee members on Truth Social.
“THE SELECT COMMITTEE DELETED RECORDS AND HID EVIDENCE – Reps. Thompson and Cheney failed to turn over video recordings of witness interviews and depositions despite using these recordings in their high-profile, primetime hearings. The Subcommittee recovered over one hundred deleted or password-protected files, including some files that were deleted days before Republicans took the majority. They also hid multiple transcribed interviews of witnesses who had firsthand knowledge of Trump’s actions on January 6,” the subcommittee’s report revealed.
