The tables have turned in Fani Willis’ criminal case against Donald Trump over contesting the 2020 election.
Now it looks like it could have Willis looking at the wrong side of being in court.
And Donald Trump discovered a smoking gun which may land Fani Willis in prison.
Divorce records from Nathan Wade – who Willis hired in 2021 as special prosecutor – and his estranged wife include bank records that show Wade paid for plane tickets to Miami and San Francisco in Willis’ name while the two worked together on the Trump case.
The receipts for Fani Willis’s vacations with her boyfriend Nathan Wade have now been filed with the court. The Trump Georgia case is over and Fani’s legal career may be too. This bombshell discovery provides evidence to back up the claims made by Trump’s co-defendant Michael Roman in a court filing that Willis violated conflict-of-interest rules by hiring her alleged lover who then turned around and used some of the $654,000 he billed Willis’ office to personally enrich Willis.
These allegations raise questions about if Willis violated state and federal laws about accepting kickbacks and honest services fraud.
Donald Trump blasted the idea that Willis and Wade ran the Trump probe as a get-rich-quick scheme where they allegedly used the case as a pretext to bill the taxpayers out of hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund their lavish lifestyle.
“It has just been learned, contrary to repeated statements by Fani Willis, that she was, on her own volition and without proper approval, paying substantially more money per hour, and otherwise, to her Boyfriend/Lover than the Great State of Georgia was paying to other better and more qualified lawyers,” Trump wrote.
Wade never tried a felony case before in his life.
And Wade filed for divorce one day after his contract with Willis’ office began in November 2021.
Roman asked Judge Scott McAfee to disqualify Willis and her entire office from this case as well as dismiss all charges.
McAfee doesn’t even have to dismiss the charges to kill the case.
Kicking Willis off the case would lead to a new prosecutor.
This happened before to Willis.
In July 2022 the courts removed Willis from investigating Georgia Lt. Governor Burt Jones as part of the so-called “fake electors” witch hunt because she attended a fundraiser for Jones’ opponent.
The case still hasn’t been assigned to a new prosecutor more than 18 months later.
Willis’ shady and unethical conduct torpedoed that politically motivated case against Jones.
And now history may be about to repeat itself.
