The Democrat Party’s scheme to weaponize the justice system against Donald Trump is an attack on democracy and a threat to the American experiment.
But some Republicans are on board with this lawfare.
And what Nikki Haley said about Donald Trump’s trial will leave you red with rage.
A jury in New York City awarded E. Jean Carroll an $83.3 million judgement in a defamation suit Carroll filed claiming Trump damaged her reputation by denying Carroll’s allegation he raped her in a department store dressing room in the mid-1990s.
In a previous trial a jury in mostly-Democrat Manhattan ruled Trump liable for sexual assault even though Carroll could not provide any evidence, witnesses or contemporaneous police reports or accounts that this alleged assault occurred.
Radio talk show host Clay Travis called the idea that the Democrat jury in New York now established a legal cause for defamation just for denying you committed a crime an example of America descending into banana republic territory.
“A left wing NYC jury just awarded E. Jean Carroll $83 million dollars because they said Trump defamed her by denying he sexually assaulted her. So now it’s defamation to claim you didn’t commit a crime? Banana republic we live in, y’all. Total banana republic,” Travis wrote on social media.
In response to the verdict, Nikki Haley attacked Donald Trump – and not the weaponized and rigged justice system.
“Donald Trump wants to be the presumptive Republican nominee and we’re talking about $83 million in damages. We’re not talking about fixing the border. We’re not talking about tackling inflation. America can do better than Donald Trump and Joe Biden,” Haley wrote on X.
Haley left out the part where the Clinton-appointed Judge Lewis Kaplan refuses to allow Trump to defend himself and attacked Trump’s attorney at every turn even threatening to throw Trump’s lawyer, Alina Hobba, in prison.
With a Democrat judge and jury pool pulled from deep-blue Manhattan there was no chance Donald Trump could receive a fair trial.
The sham trial produced the desired result – Donald Trump is a rapist who owes a woman $83 million because he attacked the innocent victim – that Democrats plan to campaign on in the fall.
Haley picked right up on that phony narrative.
But Haley has a connection to this case that she’s not eager to broadcast.
Democrat Party megadonor Reid Hoffman contributed to Nikki Haley’s super PAC.
And Hoffman is the man who funded Carroll’s lawsuit against Trump.
Texas Congressman Lance Gooden called out Haley for playing both sides and demanded she return Hoffman’s money and quit the presidential race.
“It’s important to remember that Nikki Haley mega donor, Reid Hoffman, funded E Jean Carroll’s frivolous lawsuit against President Trump. Nikki should return his money and drop out of the race!” Gooden wrote on social media.
Nikki Haley’s favorability ratings among Republicans keep dropping as this race goes along.
According to FiveThirtyEight.com, only 47 percent of Republicans hold a favorable view of Haley.
That’s likely due to the fact that as this campaign progresses, GOP voters can see that Nikki Haley is a candidate whose core constituency is Democrats.
