Eight Republican presidential candidates stood on the stage for the first debate of the 2024 cycle.
All hell broke loose in Milwaukee.
And Megyn Kelly stunned everyone by revealing who was the winner of the GOP debate.
The GOP turned into a wild affair with candidates largely ignoring the rules to throw haymakers at one another to try and stand out in a field dominated by Donald Trump.
38-year-old entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy seized the spotlight with takedowns of establishment candidates Chris Christie and Mike Pence for siding with the Democrat prosecutors waging lawfare against Donald Trump and showing complete loyalty to funding Joe Biden’s war in Ukraine.
Vivek Ramaswamy carving up Chris Christie like a fat Thanksgiving turkey is a sight to behold!
Bravo👏👏👏#VivekRamaswamy

Pundits were furious that Fox News moderators Martha MacCallum and Bret Baier came off like left-wing activists refusing to ask a question about the border until the debate was nearly over and focusing on liberal hobbyhorses like climate change and the politically motivated criminal charges against Trump.
ONE HOUR AND 25 MIN before we get a single question on the border — to Asa What’s-His-Name.
Will any real candidates get to talk about the most important issue?

MacCallum caught heat for copying Nancy Pelosi’s talking points when she smeared the pro-life issue as a loser for Republicans.
“Abortion has been a losing issue for Republicans since the Dobbs decision,” MacCallum exclaimed. “In six state referendums, all have upheld abortion rights in this country. Even in red states, there are more swing state referendums that are coming up as we head into the elections as well on this.”
Against this backdrop of chaos and biased moderating Americans could not agree on who won the debate.
And the nonsensical debate that took place justified Donald Trump’s decision to skip the proceedings and instead sit for an interview with Tucker Carlson.
Kelly wrote on social media that Donald Trump was the true winner of the debate as none of the candidates laid a glove on Trump who polls show is leading the race in a runaway both nationally and in the key early voting states.
With no clear winner, the winner was Trump. Nothing happened to change the dynamic of this race tonight.

Donald Trump also will not attend the second GOP debate scheduled for late September which will be held at the Reagan Library.
Unless the candidates and Fox Business Channel – which is televising the contest – adopt a radically different approach Trump will win that debate by default just by not showing up.
