An IRS whistleblower stepped forward with damning claims that could kick off impeachment proceedings against Joe Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland.
All hell is about to break loose.
And that’s because six witnesses just gave Jim Jordan the smoking gun that will devastate Joe Biden.
The biggest bombshell in IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley’s testimony was the revelation that in an October 7, 2022 meeting U.S. Attorney David Weiss – who was running the Hunter Biden investigation – told a room full of FBI and IRS agents that he did not have ultimate charging authority in the probe.
Shapley described this as a “red line” moment for him as Weiss told his colleagues that the Biden Justice Department interfered in the investigation and blocked him from filing felony tax evasion charges against Hunter Biden.
Attorney General Garland previously testified under oath that Weiss possessed total power to bring whatever criminal charges he felt were necessary against Hunter Biden.
“He is the supervisor of this investigation,” Garland told Senator Bill Hagerty that “we put the investigation in the hands of a Trump appointee from the previous administration, who is the US attorney for the district of Delaware, and … you have me as the attorney general, who is committed to the independence of the Justice Department from any influence from the White House in criminal matters.”
U.S. Attorney Weiss also wrote in a June 7 letter to Jim Jordan that he had “ultimate authority” over what charges to bring against Hunter Biden.
“Its content suggests your inquiry is related to an investigation in my District, If my assumption is correct, I want to make clear that, as the Attorney General has stated, I have been granted ultimate authority over this matter, including responsibility for deciding where, when, and whether to file charges and for making decisions necessary to preserve the integrity of the prosecution, consistent with federal law, the Principles of Federal Prosecution, and Departmental regulations,” Weiss wrote.
But Shapley’s legal team quickly responded with a statement from Shapley naming the six FBI and IRS agents in the room with him when Weiss explained that the Biden Justice Department protected Hunter Biden from felony charges.
Shapley also said there were emails from the day of the meeting between the participants that confirmed his testimony that Weiss said the Justice Department thwarted his attempt to charge Hunter Biden with felony criminal charges.

Any impeachment inquiry would bring in Jim Jordan’s House Judiciary Committee.
Jordan now has conflicting statements from the key players.
But Jordan also now possesses evidence that casts doubt on the testimony of Attorney General Garland and Weiss’s claim that it was up to Weiss to decide what criminal charges Hunter Biden faced.
The pressure is growing on Republicans to initiate an impeachment inquiry into Biden and Garland.
Shapley’s testimony and accompanying corroborating evidence could prove to be the smoking gun.
