Dr. Anthony Fauci finally faced his moment of reckoning before Congress.
It quickly went from bad to worse for Fauci.
And Dr. Fauci spoke one sentence that just turned his life into a living hell.
Chairman Rand Paul (R-KY) subpoenaed Dr. Anthony Fauci to testify before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs to answer questions about his role in COVID lockdowns and mandates, and in funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Lab, which many believe cooked up COVID.
Paul also released Fauci’s diary entries showing him basking in the fame showered upon him in 2020 by the fake news media and celebrities like Cher and Julia Roberts.
During the hearing, Fauci refused to answer any questions, invoking his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination 111 times.
“On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution,” Fauci would say when asked a direct question.
No answers, just the same script… 111 times.

Senator Paul wasn’t amused by Fauci’s stunt and promised consequences in the form of a contempt of Congress vote.
“That’s a vote that will happen in committee next week. It will be in contempt of Congress,” Paul told reporters.
Paul explained that Fauci had no right to plead the Fifth since Joe Biden pardoned him and thus any answers he gave couldn’t be used to prosecute him.
“We believe that with his… immunity from criminal liability, that he didn’t need to hide behind the Fifth Amendment and that maybe the Fifth Amendment doesn’t attach when you have a pardon in place,” Paul went on to say.
Paul then revealed to the press that the Justice Department could then consider the contempt of Congress vote as evidence Fauci obstructed an official investigation in a new criminal proceeding.
“That’ll be a legal question, but the question on contempt will be voted on, and then there’s a question of whether or not the Department of Justice will take that up,” Paul continued.
During the hearing, Paul warned Fauci he was playing with fire and that by not answering questions, he was putting himself in even more jeopardy.
“The chairman has denied your assertion of privilege and directed you to answer, but you nonetheless refuse and stand on privilege despite the existence of the pardon. The committee will have to consider after this hearing what appropriate action should be taken against you for the failure to testify after being directed to do so,” Paul stated.
“It’s against the law to obstruct an investigation of Congress. There will be repercussions to your refusal to testify today,” Paul added.
During COVID, Dr. Fauci claimed to speak with scientific authority on the need to lock down the country, close schools, and mandate masks as well as vaccines.
It later came out that these were all nothing more than superstitions.
Fauci also helped promote the false COVID origin explanation that it originated in nature and helped smear anyone who pointed out that it was more likely the virus escaped from a lab in Wuhan.
Biden pardoned Fauci to prevent him from facing perjury charges for allegedly falsely telling Congress the National Institute of Health never funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
But by refusing to answer questions, Fauci may have opened up a path for the Trump Justice Department to get around Biden’s pardon.
