Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is leading a socialist takeover of the Democratic Party.
That was just the start of the bad news.
And now AOC has Democrats panicking after they saw these dumpster-fire poll numbers.
For all of 2026, the liberal media treated it as a foregone conclusion that Democrats would win back the House of Representatives.
But thanks to a mid-decade redistricting, the GOP gained seats.
To win the majority, Democrats need to win the popular vote in November by four points.
And currently, polling shows the race for the House of Representatives resting on a knife’s edge, as Democrats currently lead Republicans by four points on the generic ballot question of which party Americans would like to see in control of Congress.
CNN data guru Harry Enten informed viewers that this slight lead for Democrats was a worrisome sign since it was much smaller than leads Democrats held on this question in 2006 and 2018, years in which blue waves swept Democrats into power.
“They show a big ‘Uh-oh!’ worry sign, at least compared to history,” Enten stated.
At this point in 2006 and 2018, Democrats led Republicans by 10 and 12 points.
“Yes, they’re ahead, but they’re ahead – I have to shrink down on the screen – by only four points, which is significantly less than what we saw in 2018 and 2006, when Democrats took back the House,” he continued. “So as I said, this is an ‘uh-oh,’ this is a warning sign,” Enten added.
“Because four isn’t 10. And it’s not 12,” host John Berman deadpanned.
“No, no, they taught me that back in pre-K, that four is not 10 or 12,” Enten shot back.
Enten explained that a four-point lead left Democrats no margin for error, and that even a one-point shift could keep Republicans in control of the House.
“You are right on the edge with this four-point lead… right on the edge of even getting that majority,” Enten added, saying that the current polling provides Democrats no “guarantees them the House or anything close to a guarantee.”
Enten also pointed out there was a sizeable chunk of Trump 2024 voters who didn’t approve of Trump’s job in office but were nonetheless going to vote Republican anyway.
“There is a chunk of 2024 Trump voters who right now aren’t so hot to trot on Donald Trump but are still very much in the Republican camp,” Enten said, showing Trump’s approval rating at +66 with 2024 Trump voters, but that Republicans beat Democrats by 87 points with this cohort.
“It’s interesting, they’re kind of outrunning Trump among Trump voters,” Berman replied.
These voters may not be happy with gas prices or the war in Iran, but they see a Democrat Party dominated by Alexandria Ocasio-Clones from the Democratic Socialists of America who are running on unpopular platforms to abolish the Senate, open the border, and defund the police.
