Hillary Clinton started her campaign for President on April 12, 2015. Her strategists started months earlier clearing her schedule.
One major snag for them came in the form of a previous engagement Hillary already had on calendar.
A $12 million engagement… with the king of Morocco.
The timing just couldn’t be worse. Because in the eyes of many, taking money from a foreign power whose country has a poor track record on human rights and has been cited by the US Department as widely corrupt looks bad when you’re running for President.
It looks worse when it reeks of cronyism and “pay-to-play” schemes. In fact, Hillary’s top aide had this to say, according to The Atlantic:
This was HRC’s idea, our office approached the Moroccans and they 100 percent believe they are doing this at her request. The King has personally committed approx $12 million both for the endowment and to support the meeting. It will break a lot of china to back out now when we had so many opportunities to do it in the past few months.
In what appears to be a rare venting of frustration by [Huma] Abedin toward Hillary Clinton (at least in the thousands of hacked Podesta emails), she wrote this about her boss: “She created this mess and she knows it.”
And it looks the worst of all when these conversations only come to light from a Wikileaks data dump that shows Hillary was accepting money not only from Morocco, but from Saudi Arabia and Qatar among others, countries actively funding ISIS, a declared enemy of the USA.
This is truly foul.
It seems cronyism is more rampant in Clinton circles than we’d care to admit. In fact, the Department of Justice and the FBI have been at odds for the last year. The Washington Examiner calls attention to this ongoing feud:
FBI agents have looked into allegations of pay-for-play at the Clinton Foundation for more than a year despite the objections of Justice Department officials.
On its face, this doesn’t scream of either.
But when you peel back the layers and know Loretta Lynch is the AG for the DOJ…and works directly with President Obama…
And she and former President Bill Clinton met earlier this year in private on her plane…
And then the following day, James Comey of the FBI announced Hillary Clinton wouldn’t be prosecuted…
And you consider the DOJ encouraged the FBI to stop investigating the Clinton Foundation early on and blocked access to case sensitive emails.
And you understand other non-profits would be under a full-scale investigation..
Then, you have a trail of cronyism that leads all the way back to their original investigation of pay-for-play. And so these Wikileaks continue to reveal how Hilary, Bill, and the Clinton Foundation are using their connections to enrich themselves, dodge the law, and betray America.
