From the looks of things, it looks as though the Second Amendment rights our nation has known and loved the last 200+ years are coming to a close.
That’s because over one million Americans were flooding the streets this past weekend in order to take part in various March For Our Lives events all across the U.S.
These protesters were among 62 of the total 100 largest cities in the country. Numerous cities did not do an official head count. However, media outlets confirm either thousands or tens of thousands of protesters at each site.
The largest demonstration was held in Pennsylvania, where more than 200,000 marchers were protesting. An additional 175,000 were marching in the streets of Manhattan.
Chicago brought in about 85,000 demonstrators, and Los Angeles had about 55,000. Boston had about 50,000 protestors, and Atlanta and Pittsburgh each brought in about 30,000 people.
Over 20,00 people were demonstrating in Parkland, FL where the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School school shooting took place. However, many students were taking part in the Washington march. A Marjory Stoneman Douglas hockey team, however, was playing in a tournament in the Twin Cities, where about 18,000 protesters were marching.
In addition, over 10,00 people were walking in the March For Our Lives event in the following cities:
- Houston
- Phoenix
- Philadelphia
- Austin
- Texas
- Nashville
- Tenn
- Portland, Ore.
- Milwaukee
- Cleveland
- Tampa, Fla.
- St. Louis
- St. Paul
- Minn.
- Cincinnati
Although school shootings have become prevalent here in the U.S., other countries have been taking notice and protesting as well. Protesters in Paris, London, Sydney, and Argentina were also protesting over the weekend in support of the event.
