Nancy Pelosi is upset that Trump didn’t visit countries in alphabetical order? Really?
Just to prove you can’t appease the left no matter what you do, Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi is now criticizing Trump, for literally, not visiting foreign countries in alphabetical order.
She criticized Trump’s decision to visit Saudi Arabia first.
“Saudi Arabia?” she asked. “It wasn’t even alphabetical.”
Just how petty do these people get?
The Democrat leader contrasted Trump’s visit to George W. Bush who visited Mexico first, as well as to Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama who all visited Canada first.
“Our friends and neighbors,” Pelosi said. “What was the decision-making process to go to Saudi Arabia first? That is a question that I have.”
If Trump were to begin visiting foreign countries by alphabetical order, he would first visit Afghanistan, followed by Albania, Algeria, Andorra and Angola.
This is just the latest in rather embarrassing statements made by the former Speaker of the House.
In February, she gave a speech attacking GOP attempts to repeal ObamaCare.
Pelosi began first by thanking the person who introduced her for his “recanting of what happened at the time” when Democrats and activist groups pushed Obamacare.
She recalled telling her fellow Democrats that the Affordable Care Act was going to be a major achievement for government programs, and “stand there with Social Security and Medicare and Medicare,” apparently meaning to say “Medicaid.”
While Pelosi attempted to underscore bi-partisan support for Medicaid, she said, “Don’t take it from me. John Kasich, the governor of Illinois said, ‘Thank God for Medicaid.’”
Kasich is governor of Ohio.
But most remarkable was her claim that the process of drafting ObamaCare was the “most open process ever.”
Yes, this was the same woman who also said, “We have to pass the bill to find out what is in it.”
And the petty sniping continues. As CNN reports, she called President Trump “a jerk boyfriend.”
“House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi is telling her rank-and-file members that she is confident a good portion of President Donald Trump’s voters will eventually turn on him — and Democrats just have to wait it out.
She’s using a colorful analogy to make her point — comparing Trump to a friend’s boyfriend who is a “jerk.”
“The way I told my members: It’s like telling your friend the guy she’s dating is a jerk. You can’t tell her that. She has to find out for herself. You can give her clues and then eventually one thing will lead to another, she’ll come to her conclusion. But if you tell her right up front, you’ll lose a friend. So we’re not interested in losing any friends. Let them find out,” Pelosi recounted during a small briefing for reporters in her Capitol suite Tuesday.
“They made a judgment and they’re not willing to walk away from their own judgment,” she said.
Pelosi did, however, make a sweeping judgment about educated women who voted for Trump rather than Hillary Clinton.
Matt Gorman, a spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, blasted Pelosi’s comments Tuesday evening,
“Leave it to a San Francisco liberal to belittle and condescend to the 63 million voters who called for real change last November,” Gorman said. “Pelosi’s comments underscore just how hard it’ll be for this out-of-touch party to compete across the country in 2018.”
Beyond that widely reported incident, Pelosi said Trump worked very hard in the meeting to charm lawmakers, especially Democrats, though she conceded Trump worked harder on Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer because he probably knows she is a “lost cause.”
“He uses the charm offensive — which is offensive, very offensive,” said Pelosi.”
So apparently Trump is a “charming jerk boyfriend” which is “offensive”. Apparently, Trump needs to start getting rude with Nancy Pelosi just to avoid triggering her in the future.
