The push to impeach Donald Trump for a second time is running smack dab into reality.
Democrats and Never Trumpers never expected this.
And now Trey Gowdy shut down the Democrats impeaching Trump with this wake-up call.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi named California Congressman Eric Swalwell as one of the impeachment managers to try the House’s case in the Senate.
Swalwell famously was compromised by virtue of a sexual relationship with a Communist Chinese spy.
Trey Gowdy laced into Swalwell’s presence on the impeachment case pointing out how unserious it was by naming a “buffoon” like Swalwell to the team.
“I think he is just a reckless buffoon,” Gowdy told Fox News host Martha MacCallum.
Gowdy was referring to comments Swalwell made comparing President Trump to Osama bin Ladencomparing Democrats’ allegations that President Trump incited the riot at the Capitol to bin Laden planning and coordinating the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
On PBS, Swalwell declared that “Usama bin Laden did not enter US soil on Sept. 11, but it was widely acknowledged that he was responsible for inspiring the attack on our country,” Trump, “with his words — using the word ‘fight,’ with the speakers that he assembled that day, who called for trial by combat and said we have to take names and kick a–, that is hate speech that inspired and radicalized people to storm the Capitol.”
Gowdy noted that there was “really hot rhetoric on both sides,” however Gowdy pleaded that “I wish people would stop doing it and just use logic.”
However, Gowdy ripped Swalwell for the offensive comment comparing the President of the United States to a terrorist mass murderer that planned the slaughter of 3,000 innocent Americans.
“I hope that people are smart enough to not compare the President of the United States with somebody who murdered thousands of Americans,” Gowdy continued.
Swalwell and the Democrats’ handmaidens in the fake news media zeroed in their talking points on comparing Donald Trump to a terrorist leader.
That’s because their ultimate goal is not just impeaching the President, convicting him and barring him from running for President in 2024.
Attacking Donald Trump is just the pretext for their real goal of criminalizing voting for Donald Trump by casting the President’s supporters as part of a domestic terror movement.
On fake news CNN, MSNBC, in the halls of Congress and in states across the country, Democrats like Swalwell all sang from the same sheet of music about how the riot at the Capitol was a white supremacist insurrection and the President fomented this act of domestic terrorism.
Democrat pundits like Don Lemon also smeared all 75,000,000 Trump voters as siding with the Ku Klux Klan even if they had nothing to do with the riot and watched the horror unfold at home on television.
The end game is simple.
Joe Biden is already pushing for a new domestic terrorism law that will see a czar in the White House overseeing the surveillance and arrest of Trump supporters under the name of combating extremism.
