A huge scandal rocked Washington.
Once again it revolved around a response to Donald Trump.
And Trey Gowdy crushed a top Trump critic with these three words.
Robert Costa and Bob Woodward’s book “Peril” triggered a shockwave in D.C. when Costa and Woodward reported that in October 2020, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley allegedly called his counterpart in Communist China and promised to warn him if Donald Trump launched an attack on the Communist Chinese.
Mark Milley – the woke general that outrageously claimed so-called “white rage” was at the center of the events of January – emerged as a major Trump critic.
Another anti-Trump book claimed General Milley compared Trump to evil Nazi Fuhrer Adolf Hitler and that Milley believed the 74,000,000 Trump supporters were the equivalent of Hitler’s Brown Shirts.
In an appearance on the All-Star Panel during Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” former Congressman Trey Gowdy addressed General Milley’s actions – which even establishment moderates like Marco Rubio called potentially “treasonous.”
Gowdy prefaced his remarks saying since he wasn’t in court he would dispense with the qualifier “if it’s true” and slammed General Milley for succumbing to such a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome and for believing that Trump was a greater threat to the country than Communist China.
“I have never liked anonymous source. We certainly didn’t use them in the courtroom, and there is a reason for that. And I don’t like starting things by saying ‘if it’s true,’ but this is television and not court. I find the whole thing bizarre that you have a U.S. general who thinks an American president is more of a threat to the country than China,” Gowdy began.
Gowdy continued on explaining that he found it bizarre that General Milley took his supposed concerns about Donald Trump to a general in Communist China as opposed to officials in the American government or the public by resigning.
“I think it’s really bizarre that he didn’t tell anyone who could have actually done something about it, if that’s what he believed. And I think it’s bizarre that we call people ahead of time and warn them, hey, we may attack you,” Gowdy added.
Finally, Gowdy wrapped up his remarks blasting the Biden administration for murdering seven children among the 10 civilian casualties in a drone strike in Afghanistan on August 29.
Gowdy mocked Milley for giving Communist China a heads up on a possible attack when the only person who needed a heads up on a missile attack was the innocent Afghan aid worker whose family Joe Biden and his generals incinerated in a disastrous drone strike.
“My dominant thought, Bret, is I bet that Afghan driver who was bringing some water to folks would have appreciated an advance call before an attack,” Gowdy concluded.
