Dr. Fauci is coming under fire.
But now all hell is breaking loose.
And one top Republican caught Dr. Fauci in this criminal act with just one question.
Dr. Fauci testified before a Senate committee and faced the line of questioning he was dreading.
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul—who has repeatedly called out Dr. Fauci on keeping schools closed and the nonsensical decision to demand vaccinated Americans wear masks—grilled Fauci on a growing scandal surrounding the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases—which Fauci leads—funneling U.S. taxpayer money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology to fund gain-of-function research.
The Wuhan Institute of Virology is the lab that the growing body of evidence suggests is where the coronavirus escaped from.
Gain-of-function research is the study of how viruses can jump more easily from animals to humans.
Senator Paul pressed Fauci for answers to these charges saying “for years one doctor in the U.S. has been collaborating with a doctor from that virology institute.”
Paul continued on stating“this research has been funded by the NIH. The collaboration between the U.S. and the Wuhan Institute continues.”
“Do you still support funding of the NIH funding of the lab in Wuhan?” Senator Paul asked Dr. Fauci.
Dr. Fauci tried to claim neither he nor the National Institutes of Health ever supported gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
“With all due respect, you are entirely and completely incorrect—that the NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain of function research in that institute,” Dr. Fauci responded.
Rand Paul was not happy with these answers and pointed out the uncomfortable facts that Dr. Fauci has supported NIH funding for research on coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
“11 labs in the US create these super-viruses in the US and one of them collaborated with Wuhan Virology Inst —Fauci has supported NIH funds for all these labs!” Senator Paul wrote.
Paul went on to accuse Dr. Fauci of lying because he was afraid of catching blame for his role in facilitating the research that many believe led to the origin of the coronavirus pandemic.
“If you look at the scientific description of what the Wuhan lab is doing, it’s gain-of-function. I do believe Dr. Fauci lied…He did this because he doesn’t want any blame attached for the possible creation of (COVID-19),” Senator Paul stated.
The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis brought the receipts to back up Senator Paul’s charges that Dr. Fauci was not telling the truth.
Davis posted links to documents showing that Fauci’s agency approved laundered $3.7 million through the EcoHealth Alliance who then turned around and passed money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
“Sen. Rand Paul has Anthony Fauci dead to rights on the charge of sending taxpayer money to the Wuhan virus lab. From 2014 to July 13, 2020 (!), NIAID sent $3.75 million to EcoHealth Alliance to study ‘bat coronavirus emergence.’ EHA then sent $600k of that to the Wuhan lab,” Davis wrote.
Davis also posted a link to a March 2016 American Society for Microbiology article by researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology about their findings on a novel bat coronavirus that was similar to SARS.
A footnote in the article listed the source of the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s funding for these experiments on a novel bat coronavirus as the National Institutes of Health under a grant from Dr. Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
“National Institutes of Health (NIH) provided funding to Peter Daszak and Zheng-Li Shi under grant number NIAID R01AI110964,” the footnote read.
Tucker Carlson’s already called for a criminal investigation into Dr. Fauci for allegations he pumped U.S. taxpayer money into the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Senator Paul accusing Dr. Fauci of lying about his role in this funding will only add to those calls.
