Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has made a dangerous career mistake.
Her terrorist loyalty has gotten the better of her.
Three brutally honest words made Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hit the roof.
There are Democrats who don’t believe that Israel has the right to defend themselves.
The “squad”is made up most notably of Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib who have been loud in their anti-Israel rhetoric.
Ocasio-Cortez claimed that Israel is an apartheid state, writing, “Apartheid states aren’t democracies.”
Omar was even stronger in her anti-Israel rhetoric.
“Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism. Palestinians deserve protection. Unlike Israel, missile defense programs, such as Iron Dome, don’t exist to protect Palestinian civilians. It’s unconscionable to not condemn these attacks on the week of Eid.” Omar said, repeating Hamas propaganda.
“Rep. Omar accused Israel of carrying out acts of terrorism. That is a vicious lie. And to be honest, the Squad is acting more like the press secretaries for Hamas terrorists than they are like United States congressmen,” Sen. Ted Cruz said.
Republican Reps. Mike Waltz of Florida, Lisa McClain of Michigan, Nancy Mace of South Carolina, and Chris Jacobs of New York decided to hang “Stand With Israel” by their office doors.
Waltz also went after the squad on Fox News and called them “the Hamas Caucus.”
“‘Hamas Caucus’ has become a popular term used by Israel-supporting Republicans to describe anti-Israel progressive Democrats, who have chipped away at a consensus on Israel that’s been around since President Harry S. Truman recognized Israeli independence in 1948. Truman’s support came 11 minutes after Israel’s first prime minister’s ‘Proclamation of Independence’ in Tel Aviv.” The Daily Caller reported.
And the Democratic leadership is willing to defend radicals.
Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi defended the squad when American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) called them out.
An AIPAC ad showed a picture of Omar superimposed with Hamas’ rocket fire, captioned, “When Israel targets Hamas, Rep. Omar calls it an ‘act of terrorism.’”
“Hamas has fired thousands of rockets at Israeli civilians,” AIPAC wrote. “This isn’t about evictions, annexation, or two states. It’s not about Palestinians or a better future. It’s about Hamas wanting to terrorize Israelis, destroy Israel, and gain power for itself and its Iranian backers.”
Pelosi responded to AIPAC’s ads by condemning the pro-Israel group.
“I don’t agree with Congresswoman Omar’s comments, but it’s very disappointing to see deeply cynical and inflammatory ads twisting her words,” Pelosi said Wednesday.
“As we always respect Israel’s right to defend herself, there must be a serious effort on the part of both parties in the conflict to end the violence and respect the rights of both the Israeli and Palestinian people,” Pelosi added.
