Joe Biden is on the road to ruin.
His policies are triggering a mass exodus for the Democratic Party.
And now, one long-time Democrat stronghold is on the verge of abandoning the Left over Biden’s immigration crisis.
Joe Biden has opened the floodgates to a wave of illegal immigrants on a scale that has never been seen before in America.
But with Biden doing almost everything in his power to encourage more illegal immigration, many long-time Democrat strongholds on the southern border are in open revolt against him and his party.
And now, the true scale of the looming electoral disaster Biden faces in South Texas is coming to light.
The Texas Tribune reports, “In 2014, the percentage of registered voters casting ballots in the Republican primary in Terrell County was 12%. By 2022, that percentage had more than doubled — with 31% of the county’s registered voters casting ballots in the GOP primary compared to 10% in the Democratic primary. It was the first time in at least eight years that Republicans voting in the Terrell County primary outnumbered Democrats. The shift in allegiance is being replicated across the Texas-Mexico border and is encouraging for Republicans who are campaigning on border security and making a big push to win over Hispanic voters. It is also concerning for Democrats who have long held sway in these border and South Texas communities.”
All along the Rio Grande Valley, counties that had once been overwhelming Democrat strongholds are now zooming to the Right at breakneck speed.
And with GOP primary participation rates doubling since 2014 in all 15 of the counties in question, Biden’s plans of a “Blue Texas” are evaporating fast.
In fact, the Democrat primary advantage in the region was 13 times greater than the number of Republican ballots cast in 2014. In 2022, that Democrat number has dwindled to an advantage of just twice as much as the GOP.
The reason behind this revolt against the Democratic Party is obvious.
With a surge of illegal immigrants pouring across the border, these towns and counties all along the Rio Grande Valley have had to face the bulk of the problem head-on, all while being ignored by the Democrats in Washington, D.C. who lambast any criticism of unlimited illegal immigration as being “racist.”
But for many of these voters, all of them Hispanic themselves, this argument falls on deaf ears.
“Many of the new Republicans in Maverick County are former Democrats who say the increase in migrants crossing through their region was a major factor in their decision to switch parties. In July, Eagle Pass’ region of the border, which stretches north to the city of Del Rio, reported about 50,000 apprehensions of migrants — 20,000 more than the number of people in the entire city of Eagle Pass,” adds the Texas Tribune.
In fact, many of these voters once voted for Barack Obama twice in a row, but once Biden came into office the mask of the Democratic Party’s true intentions slipped, giving residents across the region a glimpse into just how little the Left cared about the immigration crisis that is currently overwhelming the region.
That’s why Trump’s margin along the Rio Grande Valley was the highest any Republican had seen in generations, and why all signs point to Republicans making more gains with South Texas Hispanics in 2022.
