A big-name Democrat actually went there.
All hell could break loose on the left.
And this top Democrat just ignited a civil war that could get completely out of hand.
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders was not happy with two of his Democrat colleagues.
Even though Democrats rammed hundreds of billions of dollars in job-killing tax increases and Green New Deal spending through Congress Sanders felt miffed.
Democrat Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema whittled the bill down from the $3.5 trillion socialist spending spree that Sanders wrote to the final product.
In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper Sanders whined about Manchin and Sinema’s objections to the bill.
“The midterm elections, obviously in 90 days,” Cooper began. “If the Inflation Reduction Act is ultimately signed by President Biden, Democrats, independents like you who caucus with them, will have passed legislation on climate, drug pricing, guns, semiconductor manufacturing and infrastructure.”
Sanders damned the bill with feint praise claiming it was merely a good step forward in turning America into a socialist nation.
“I think it’s a step forward, but I think we have got to be honest with the American people,” Sanders stated.
But then Sanders kicked off the circular firing squad on the left that will culminate in a 2024 Democrat Party civil war.
Sanders slammed Manchin and Sinema as corporate stooges – fighting words for the left’s socialist base – who stood in the way of ending America as a capitalist nation.
“Unfortunately, we have two corporate Democrats who are preventing us from doing what has to be done. So to my mind, Anderson, what this election is about is the need to get three or four more progressive Democrats into the United States Senate so we can finally do what the American people want,” Sanders continued.
“We’ve got to build affordable housing, we’ve got to do so many things, we need more progressive Democrats in the Senate to do that, so we’re not stymied by two corporate Dems,” Sanders added.
Both Sinema and Manchin are up for re-election in 2024.
Sinema and Manchin figure to draw Sanders-inspired primary challengers.
Socialist Arizona Congressman Ruben Gallego already floated the idea of challenging Sinema in 2024.
Arizona and West Virginia are not blue states.
Bernie Sanders can exist as a socialist senator because Vermont is one of the most left-wing states in America.
Socialist primary challengers in Arizona and West Virginia may be able to win a primary playing to the far-left base.
But in a general election Sanders-style socialist challengers are dead men walking in Arizona and West Virginia.
Socialist primary challengers knocking off Sinema and Manchin could hand two Senate seats to Republicans.
