Chuck Schumer is staring down the abyss of a political wipeout this November.
Democrats held out hope they could avoid disaster.
But now this devastating new poll will give Chuck Schumer nightmares.
The Pennsylvania Senate race will likely determine which party controls the upper chamber next year.
Retiring RINO Pat Toomey – who co-sponsored legislation to create a national gun registration database and voted to convict President Trump in the Democrats’ second impeachment hoax in the wake of January 6 – gave up his seat rather than seek a third term.
The initial frontrunners in the race were two liberals – television celebrity Dr. Mehmet Oz and hedge fund CEO David McCormick.
McCormick is a globalist that worked in the Bush administration and supports more immigration.
Dr. Oz is a liberal friend of Oprah Winfrey who held left-wing positions on backing abortion on demand, red flag gun confiscation laws, and once ran an entire episode on transgender surgeries for young children.
Trump supporters were confused when the president threw his endorsement behind Dr. Oz despite the fact that Dr. Oz is more a Mitt Romney-style RINO.
But with less than a week to go in the race a pro-Trump conservative shot to the top of the pack.
Air Force veteran, mother, and pro-life Christian Kathy Barnette surged to a statistical tie with Dr. Oz and McCormick in the latest Fox News poll.
Fox found Dr. Oz in first at 22.5 percent with Barnette and McCormick nipping at his heels with 20.9 and 18.5 percent, respectively.
Fox News Republican pollster Daron Shaw explained that Trump’s endorsement pushed Dr. Oz to the lead, but that Barnette and McCormick were not out of the race.
“Oz has closed the gap, and the parallels with J.D. Vance in Ohio are obvious,” Shaw stated. “But McCormick and Barnette have considerable support, and with one out of five voters uncommitted, odds are that the vote will be very close.”
Fox News Democrat pollster Chris Anderson explained that it was Barnette with all the momentum.
“Even though Oz got Trump’s endorsement, Barnette has more momentum,” Anderson told Fox News. “Her support doubled in two months, her supporters are the most interested, and her negatives are much lower than Oz or McCormick.”
McCormick and Dr. Oz spent a combined 24 million dollars pummeling each other with negative TV ads.
These ads drove up McCormick and Dr. Oz’s unfavorable numbers allowing Barnette to run on her compelling life story as a black female veteran who defies all the pro-abortion talking points due to the fact that Barnette was born after her mother was raped at the age of 11.
Barnette surged to the lead despite being outspent 358 to 1 on TV ads.
POLITICO reported:
This time around, her opponents Mehmet Oz and David McCormick have spent $12.4 million and $11.4 million on television commercials, respectively, according to the ad-tracking firm AdImpact. Other candidates and outside groups have bankrolled $25 million more in spots. Oz has also won a highly sought-after nod from Trump.
Barnette, on the other hand, has spent a paltry $137,000 on TV.
Barnette is a true pro-Trump conservative whereas McCormick and Dr. Oz are pretenders.
In a midterm election that is a contest of base mobilizations Barnette would likely be the Republicans’ strongest candidate and best chance to dislodge Chuck Schumer as majority leader.
