CNN and the rest of the corporate media want to hide the facts from the American people.
But that cover-up is collapsing.
And there is one major meltdown at CNN over this truth about Hillary Clinton spying on Trump.
CNN pro-Democrat Party “media” correspondent Brian Stelter summed up the corporate media’s reaction to John Durham’s blockbuster court filing that two lawyers that worked for the Clinton campaign contracted with a tech executive to spy on Trump’s business and the Executive Office of the President to mine servers in hopes of furthering the hoax about Trump colluding with the Russians.
Stelter and the rest of the corporate media hoped to sweep these new revelations under the rug and smother the story until it died from a lack of media oxygen.
Stelter wrote:
>> The ideological outlets that blew the filing way out of proportion weren’t incentivized to apply journalistic analysis to the filing. They were incentivized to do the opposite.
>> Hyperbolic talk, not news, is what drives right-wing outlets like Fox. Almost all of Fox’s coverage has been political talk driven by hosts and guests, not news reporting by correspondents.
>> Before reporters from normal news outlets could even dig into the filing, Fox’s abnormal operation screamed “MEDIA IGNORES DURHAM BOMBSHELL.” Later fact-checks were cast as part of a media coverup.
>> Regarding Republican complaints about a dearth of Durham coverage, WaPo’s Philip Bump tweeted, “It’s a sign of the strength of the pro-Trump/Fox News bubble that this is seen not as a reflection on the merits of the story but of a grand conspiracy.”
George Washington Law professor Jonathan Turley slammed corporate media reporters for trying to pretend like the Durham investigation either doesn’t exist or is a whole lot of nothing.
“Now, Durham has told a court that he has evidence that Clinton operatives ‘exploited’ access to systems at the Trump Tower, Trump’s apartment building, and ‘the Executive Office of the President of the United States.’ The operation allegedly not only targeted the campaign and the Trump Tower but continued after the election,” Turley wrote in an op-ed for Fox News.
Turley pointed out that the corporate media routinely ignores the mountain of evidence that the Clinton campaign and the government spied on Trump during the election and that the spying continued after the election.
“Indeed, to this day, many refuse to cover extensive evidence of how the Clinton campaign manufactured this story that largely occupied the entire term of President Donald Trump. Before the Steele dossier was given to the FBI and the press, then-CIA Director John Brennan briefed former President Obama on Clinton’s alleged ‘plan’ to tie candidate Trump to Russia as ‘a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server,’” Turley added.
The media doesn’t want to cover this story because members of the press don’t want to admit how they willfully lied to the public for years about the Russian collusion hoax.
Hillary Clinton did not dupe members of the press into following along with a fairy tale about Trump colluding with the Russians that her campaign largely cooked up using the discredited Christopher Steele dossier.
Members of the corporate press threw out their skepticism and any sense of professional credibility by taking the nation along for a ride because reporters hate Donald Trump and his supporters.
The Durham investigation will likely produce a report detailing unethical conduct on the part of the Clinton campaign and some high-ranking government officials.
But the press will not cover the Durham probe with the same intensity as Robert Mueller’s witch hunt because the Durham investigation stands to indict their actions in promoting the deranged and false Russian collusion conspiracy theory.
