There are many strange and unnerving aspects of the Biden administration.
But one stands out above the rest.
Now the military made this jaw-dropping announcement about Kamala Harris.
Under Joe Biden, the leadership of the Pentagon and the military now act like the official enforcers of the left’s woke ideology.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is trying to purge “extremists”—extremist is never defined but critics suspect it’s a pretext to purge Trump supporters from the service—by ordering training and reviews to root out anyone that opposes the Democrat Party.
In addition, uniformed officers and official military social media accounts launched a coordinated attack on Tucker Carlson after Carlson ripped Joe Biden for promoting the idea of pregnant women in the armed forces.
The Pentagon also waded into the daily political back and forth when spokesman—and former CNN contributor—John Kirby defended Kamala Harris after conservatives ripped Harris for not returning the salutes of the honor guard when she boarded Air Force Two.
“There is no overarching instruction or regulation that requires the President or Vice President to return hand salutes from members of the Armed Forces,” Kirby began.
“Vice President Harris has made very clear her respect and admiration for the men and women of the military, as well as their families,” Kirby added.
This fracas kicked off when former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard B. Kerik tweeted “DISGRACEFUL: @VP Kamala Harris refuses to salute the honor guard at the steps of the aircraft. It is a clear demonstration of her dislike for those in uniform, both law-enforcement and military.”
Normally the White House would defend Harris as the Pentagon must maintain an apolitical posture so Americans can have confidence that the experiment in self-government will not be influenced by the people that control the guns putting pressure on one side or the other.
But the left now controls the upper ranks of military leadership and woke cultural Marxists now make it a point to rub their politics in the faces of conservatives.
Last summer, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley apologized after he appeared at a photo op with President Trump where Trump held up a Bible in front of a church that Black Lives Matter terrorists attempted to burn down.
“As many of you saw, the result of the photograph of me at Lafayette Square last week – that sparked a national debate about the role of the military in civil society. I should not have been there. My presence in that moment and in that environment created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics,” Chairman Milley stated at a commencement ceremony for the National Defense University.
After the January 6 riot at the Capitol, Chairman Milley took a phone call from Nancy Pelosi that amounted to a coup where Pelosi asked Milley to stop President Trump from ordering a nuclear strike in the unlikely event America found itself in a nuclear conflict.
As it stands under Joe Biden, the upper ranks of the Pentagon and military leadership are no different than Hollywood, academia or the media in the sense that it is under the complete control of the left.
The Pentagon rushing to Kamala Harris’ rescue is a wake-up call to many Americans because no one believes the Pentagon ever would have put out such a statement defending Mike Pence.
