Democrats want to cancel the 2024 election by banning Americans from voting for Donald Trump.
It’s the end game of the lawfare a weaponized justice system waged against Trump.
And all hell broke loose with the Supreme Court’s decision about kicking Trump off the ballot.
Democrats spent eight years trying to engineer a cheat code to hack American democracy and prevent Donald Trump from holding power.
The real attack on democracy is the campaign waged by Democrats – which began with the Russian collusion hoax – to exercise a veto power of the ability of voters to choose their president.
With polls showing Donald Trump well-positioned to defeat Joe Biden, Democrats pulled their ultimate power play and decided Trump can’t win the election if no one is allowed to vote for him.
George Soros-backed groups filed suit claiming Section 3 of the 14th Amendment banned Trump from the ballot due to the prohibition of holding office for anyone who engaged in insurrection.
State after state rejected this fringe legal argument.
But four radical left-wing activists on the Colorado State Supreme Court agreed and declared on their own that Trump was guilty of insurrection despite not even Democrat prosecutors like Jack Smith charging Trump with that crime.
“The sum of these parts is this: President Trump is disqualified from holding the office of President under Section Three; because he is disqualified, it would be a wrongful act under the Election Code for the Secretary to list him as a candidate on the presidential primary ballot,” the Colorado State Supreme Court decision read.
Trump appealed to the Supreme Court pointing out that Section 5 of the 14th Amendment vested enforcement powers to Congress which passed a law in 1948 requiring a conviction on the charge of insurrection to ban anyone from the ballot.
“The question of eligibility to serve as President of the United States is properly reserved for Congress, not the state courts, to consider and decide,” the petition from Trump’s lawyers read. “By considering the question of President Trump’s eligibility and barring him from the ballot, the Colorado Supreme Court arrogated Congress’ authority.”
The stakes of this case are clear.
Democrats are asking for the unrestricted ability to decide if they will face opposition in elections and which candidates the opposition is allowed to nominate.
Experts believe what is at stake in this case is the future of the American experiment in self-governing.
The ruling party handpicking their challengers means the end of free and fair elections in America and a system more like in dictatorships where autocrats face token opponents who just exist as another name on the ballot to provide a fig leaf of legitimacy to the ruling regime.
