All hell is breaking loose in Washington.
Once again Donald Trump drew a line in the sand with the establishment.
And then Sean Hannity dropped one surprising hint about Trump’s political future.
Establishment RINOs led by Mitch McConnell are openly floating the idea of convicting President Trump on the Democrats’ article of impeachment so they can bar Trump from ever holding the Presidency again.
The fake news media slobbered over the fact that McConnell and his RINO allies thought Donald Trump was at a low point of his Presidency and since he was leaving office they could afford to sever their relationship with Trump.
But hours after McConnell denounced President Trump on the Senate floor, Trump struck back.
President Trump leaked word that he was interested in forming a new “Patriot Party” to compete with the Republicans and Democrats.
The Wall Street Journal exclusively reported:
President Trump has talked in recent days with associates about forming a new political party, according to people familiar with the matter, an effort to exert continued influence after he leaves the White House.
Mr. Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week, the people said. The president said he would want to call the new party the “Patriot Party,” the people said.
Shortly after the Journal posted this story,Sean Hannity opened his Fox News show firing a warning shot across Mitch McConnell’s bow.
In a monologue ripping McConnell as a two-faced swamp creature, Hannity declared that he was a registered conservative and not a Republican.
Hannity invited Judge Jeanine Pirro on his show where Pirro declared that it was up to Trump supporters to remove McConnell and his anti-Trump allies from office no matter what political party they needed to use to accomplish this goal.
“We’ve got to get the wusses in the House and the Senate out of office. America is mad enough to do that in 2022. I don’t care what party you want to use, you get them out of office,” Pirro declared.
Pirro and Hannity are two of Donald Trump’s biggest supporters on Fox News.
Their warning that they were loyal to the Make America Great Again political agenda and not the Republican Party sent a message to Mitch McConnell that some of the biggest stars in conservative media would encourage millions of Americans to join Donald Trump if he decided to walk away from the Republican Party.
This is the doomsday scenario Kentucky Senator Rand Paul predicted would come to pass if establishment Republicans jumped off the cliff on impeachment.
“A third of the Republicans will leave the party,” Senator Paul declared. “This isn’t about, anymore, the Electoral College, this is about the future of the party, and whether you’re going to ostracize and excommunicate President Trump from the party. Well, guess what? Millions of his fans will leave as well.”
Donald Trump is not going to take RINOs like McConnell colluding with Democrats to convict him on a sham article of impeachment.
Trump’s political power always came from the party base’s attachment to him.
Donald Trump is more popular with rank-and-file Republicans than the likes of Mitch McConnell.
Republican members of Congress were not afraid of mean tweets from President Trump.
They were afraid of the President’s angry voters.
And now Donald Trump may deploy the nuclear option if Mitch McConnell wants to play games on impeachment.
