Democrats and Never Trumpers’ persecution of Donald Trump is reaching its end game.
The Senate is now considering its second impeachment trial of the President in one year.
And now Sean Hannity delivered one ultimatum for Republicans considering impeachment.
Ten RINOs in the House led by Mitt Romney supporters Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger voted to impeach the President.
Now in the Senate, Democrats are trying to find 17 Republican backstabbers to vote to convict Donald Trump even though the trial will commence after he leaves office.
Reports in The New York Times indicated Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell was pleased with impeachment and thought the President should be exiled from American life.
Sean Hannity took on this budding current of disloyalty in the Republican Party to warn everyone of these Democrat collaborators that their political careers were finished in the next election if they voted to convict the President.
“Any Republican senator, let me be clear, that dares waste one second on this charade, after the president is gone from office, they need to be out of office,” Hannity declared.
“Not one of your Republican senators should partake in any of this. You shouldn’t be a part of this circus of the Democrats,” Hannity added.
Hannity continued on telling Republican senators not even to entertain this politically motivated farce.
“Every Republican senator needs to let the raging Democrats talk to themselves, and to tell them to stop wasting the country’s time,” Hannity declared.
Hannity warned Senate Republicans that Donald Trump was far more popular with Republican voters than they were and that they needed to engage in self-reflection as to why that was.
“Senate Republicans, you want to go along with this nonsense, 75 million Americans went to the polls. I’d argue they went there more for Donald Trump than for Republicans. They should think about why people voted for Donald Trump, why they support his agenda,” Hannity continued.
Finally, Hannity pleaded with McConnell to acknowledge reality and accept the fact that even though he is furious with President Trump, entertaining this impeachment will only further divide the country.
“And Mitch McConnell, you should know better. Even considering this nonsense in the Senate will get this country nowhere. It will not heal divisions, it will not improve the lives of Americans, it will only further divide a country that is just weeks out of one of the hotly contested races in history. And as I said last night, it’s important for Americans to step back and take a collective breath,” Hannity added.
Establishment RINOs like Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger and Mitch McConnell foolishly believe the GOP stands a better chance of winning elections if they can expunge Donald Trump and his voters from the Republican Party.
But the Georgia Senate runoffs showed the folly of this strategy as Trump voters stayed home because they did not believe the two Georgia senators and in-state Republicans did enough to defend the President.
The end result was depressed GOP turnout and Democrats winning both elections.
If Republicans follow McConnell down the path of impeachment, the party will split in two as primary challengers oppose pro-impeachment RINOs and Trump supporters sit on their hands in the 2022 and 2024 elections.
