Florida Governor Ron DeSantis thought he saw his opening to flip the dynamics in the GOP presidential race.
But no one could believe DeSantis actually went there.
And you’ll be speechless when you see what Ron DeSantis said about Donald Trump.
DeSantis blasted Trump over Trump’s comments about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the wake of the savage Hamas terrorist attack in Israel.
“Now is not the time to be doing like what Donald Trump did by attacking Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, attacking Israel’s defense minister, saying somehow that Hezbollah were very smart,” DeSantis told a crowd. “We need to all be on the same page. Now is not the time to air personal grievances about an Israeli prime minister. Now is the time to support their right to defend themselves to the hilt. … Now is not the time to be attacking our ally.”
DeSantis tried to paint Trump as insufficiently pro-Israel because Trump said Netanyahu oversaw an intelligence failure.
“(Netanyahu) has been hurt very badly because of what’s happened here. He was not prepared. He was not prepared, and Israel was not prepared,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News Radio’s Brian Kilmeade.
Trump also made similar comments during a campaign speech in Florida.
“When I see sometimes the intelligence, you talk about the intelligence, or you talk about some of the things that went wrong over the last week, they’ve got to straighten it out because they’re fighting potentially a very big force,” Trump added.
Polls showed the Israeli people also agreed.
Four out of five Jewish Israelis believe the government and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are to blame for the mass infiltration of Hamas terrorists and the massacre of Israel’s South, a new poll released on Thursday found. pic.twitter.com/gJJGinAyX6

DeSantis trying to paint Trump as anti-Israel and pro-Hamas fell flat thanks to Trump’s own record.
No president racked up achievements in the Middle East like Trump.
In his first four years Trump defeated ISIS, moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, negotiated the historic Abraham Accords, ordered the killing of terrorist Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, ripped up Barack Obama’s Iran nuclear deal, and constrained Iran with a tough regime of sanctions.
Even DeSantis’s own supporters said this line of attack was nonsense.
In an interview with POLITICO, Florida State Representative Randy Fine said Donald Trump’s record on Israel was unmatched and that DeSantis should focus on the true source of the problem – Joe Biden.
“When Donald Trump was president, the embassy was moved to Jerusalem and the Golan Heights were annexed and none of this happened,” Fine declared. “We didn’t have wars when Donald Trump was president.”
“Maybe the governor should focus his attention on whose fault this is. And that’s Joe Biden,” Fine added.
