John Fetterman’s latest controversy is causing heartburn in the U.S. Senate.
All hell is breaking loose.
Now this woman issued this ultimatum to John Fetterman that will stun you into silence.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer sought to accommodate John Fetterman’s desire to cosplay as a blue-collar day laborer by wearing shorts and a hoodie by eliminating the dress code on the Senate floor.
Fetterman wears his working-class costume to hide the fact that he is a wealthy child of privilege who lived off an allowance from his parents until his late 40s.
Republicans were not happy with Schumer degrading the Senate just so Fetterman can play-act as a working man to maintain his political image.
Maine RINO Senator Susan Collins is one of the Democrats’ most loyal allies in the Senate as from abortion to gun control to socialist spending to amnesty for illegal aliens, Schumer knows he can always count on Collins’ vote.
But on the dress code issue Collins issued a threat no one wanted her to make good on.
When asked by reporters about Schumer allowing Fetterman to slum it up on the floor of the U.S. Senate, Collins claimed she would wear a bikini when she casts her votes or makes speeches.
“I plan to wear a bikini tomorrow to the Senate floor and Chris Coons is gonna wear shorts because there’s no dress code anymore,” Collins declared.
Collins quickly made it clear she was only kidding and had no plans to make good on the threat to wear a bikini on the Senate floor.
“Obviously, I’m not going to wear a bikini. But the fact is, as I understand it, I could,” Collins added.
“I think there is a certain dignity that we should be maintaining in the Senate, and to do away with the dress code, to me, debases the institution,” Collins continued.
Other Republican senators echoed that criticism.
Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis told the press she has “never seen civility enhanced or a sense of decorum enhanced by dressing like a slob.”
Tennessee Republican Senator Bill Hagerty declared that relaxing the dress code for Fetterman was “just another step in the movement by the Democrats to ‘transform America,’ to take us to a different place. And to take us to a place that is much less respectful than we historically have been.”
For his part Fetterman took a very modern attitude that the only thing that matters is his own comfort level.
“I think we should all want to be more comfortable, and now we have that option. And if people prefer to wear a suit, then that’s great,” Fetterman stated.
But ever since Fetterman returned from a stay in the hospital where he received treatment for clinical depression owed to the fact that Fetterman couldn’t cope with the fact that a near-fatal stroke he suffered last May left him permanently diminished the media and Fetterman’s fellow Democrats focused on Fetterman’s dress to hide the fact that it is unclear if Fetterman is cognitively capable of serving as senator.
