Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi thought she could just fade into the background now that Democrats are out of power.
But Pelosi got some bad news.
And one damning video is about to wreck Nancy Pelosi.
Pelosi formed the January 6 committee for one reason and one reason only — to destroy any chance of a Donald Trump White House comeback.
The committee’s main plan to achieve that goal was creating a phony narrative about Donald Trump inciting an insurrection on January 6.
Pelosi and the Democrats hoped that the end result of the committee’s work would be Attorney General Merrick Garland indicting Trump for seditious conspiracy to overthrow the government.
But even if Trump never faced charges Pelosi figured the committee could disqualify Trump in the minds of swing voters by manufacturing a Hollywood-style fiction about Trump and the events of that day.
Pelosi’s scheme was undone by one source that no one expected — Pelosi’s daughter Alexandra.
The Gateway Pundit published video of Alexandra Pelosi meeting with a January 6 defendant she was trying to talk into appearing in her documentary about her mother.
In the video Pelosi admits the whole insurrection version of events was a sham.
One of the most famous January 6 defendants was the QAnon Shaman whose role in that day’s events Pelosi minimized.
“The Shaman did nothing… What did the Shaman do? He stood there,” Pelosi stated.
Pelosi also conceded Democrats were likely to lose control of the House of Representatives in 2022 and that once the Republicans took over, the January 6 committee and the excessive focus on that day would evaporate.
“After the Democrats lose the House, then they get rid of the committee, people may lose I think interest… no one is going to care after the Democrats are out of power. And you take Biden out of office- then who cares!?” Pelosi added.
Pelosi also confessed that January 6 defendants could not receive a fair trial in the District of Columbia since the jury pool consisted of large numbers of government workers and Democrats.
“DC is a lot of people who work for the government. I don’t think they’re sympathetic. If you got it moved (changed trial jurisdiction from DC) you’d totally get off,” Pelosi continued.
Finally, Pelosi chuckled at the idea that a few hundred — largely unarmed, out-of-town visitors — were going to overthrow the government.
“If there was an insurrection… you were supposed to have a plan!” Pelosi concluded. “It was the sorriest insurrection in history.”
People who committed violence on January 6 deserved to be punished.
But the claim made by Liz Cheney, Nancy Pelosi, the corporate media, and the rest of the D.C. establishment that Trump supporters milling around the Capitol for a few hours and then leaving represented the greatest threat to American democracy since the Civil War never really held much water.
