Trump has pledged to “drain the swamp,” and he’s doing it.
Although not officially in office yet, Trump has made good on his word by selecting to surround himself with a conservative administration and reiterating his plans to appoint pro-life judges to the Supreme Court.
In fact, Trump is hitting the ground running with his cabinet picks, which have liberals and the GOP establishment shaking with the realization Trump’s actually doing what he said he would do.
Trump’s cabinet picks include conservative stalwart Stephen Bannon for his General Counsel and no-nonsense anti-illegal immigration advocate Jeff Sessions for his Attorney General.
Trump has also chosen conservative favorite Ben Carson to be Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, anti-ObamaCare advocate Tom Price as Health and Human Services Secretary, and fiscal hawk Mick Mulvaney as Director of the Office of Management and Budget.
And with all this, some say it’s still not enough.
In fact, Newt Gingrich found himself in hot water when he claimed Donald Trump was no longer interested in “draining the swamp” and “didn’t want to do it anymore.”
