Democrats already face a difficult midterm election environment.
But the political terrain is about to get worse.
And that’s why Nancy Pelosi wants to hide this video of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Gas prices continue to hit record highs.
A Wall Street Journal poll found 50 percent of voters list inflation as their top issue for the November election.
And with Republicans favored to win control of one or both houses of Congress, a video from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s past could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
The crown jewel of Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist agenda is the Green New Deal.
This multi-trillion-dollar scheme is nothing less than a complete overhaul of the way Americans live, travel and consume energy.
Under the guise of combatting so-called “climate change,” Democrats like Ocasio-Cortez push the Green New Deal as a Trojan horse to end America as a free and capitalistic society.
But now with gas prices spiking to unimaginable highs Ocasio-Cortez’s support for destroying the American oil and natural gas industry is a massive political liability.
That Achilles heel rose to the forefront when a video from 2021 resurfaced where Ocasio-Cortez berated bank CEOs to end their relationship with fossil fuel companies threatening them with exaggerated and overhyped fears of so-called “climate change.”
“Just last week, the IEA announced that all new fossil fuel projects must be stopped immediately in order to meet the Paris goal of limiting warming to 1.5 degrees Centigrade,” Ocasio-Cortez ranted.
“So I just wanted to pose a couple of questions to kind of discern a little bit about the details of each of your firm’s commitments. So for each of you, if we could just kind of go down, yes or no — are each of your firms still financing new oil and gas production?” Ocasio-Cortez added.
You can watch the video below.

Democrats hold historically narrow margins in the House and Senate heading into November.
Republicans only need to flip five seats in the House and one in the Senate to win back the majority.
Inflation and rising gas prices figure to sit at the center of the key races that will determine which party runs Congress.
In 2020, Ocasio-Cortez sunk Democrats in House elections as voters defined Democrats as the party of “defund the police.”
And now Ocasio-Cortez could cost her party again by branding Democrats as the party opposed to American energy production.
