House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wanted to take a victory lap after the midterm elections.
It did not go as expected.
And Nancy Pelosi terrified Democrats by saying three words she will live to regret.
Coming off a better-than-expected showing in the midterm elections where control of the House of Representatives is up for grabs Pelosi appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” where friendly host Dana Bash asked Pelosi if she would endorse Joe Biden for re-election in 2024.
“Yes I do,” Pelosi responded.
Pelosi then claimed Biden had a great record of success to run on in two years.
“President Biden has been a great president for our country. He has accomplished so much. … He’s done so many things that are so great, we’d need a lot more show to talk about it,” Pelosi added.
Inflation spiked to a 40-year high.
The border is wide open with record numbers of illegal aliens invading the United States.
And crime still surges in major cities.
“He has been a great president. He has a great record to run on,” Pelosi added.
Even the idea of “trust me” did not sit well with liberals.
CNN’s left-wing gossip columnist Chris Cillizza wrote that in Biden’s post-election press conference, questions about Biden’s age and Biden’s cognitive decline were too obvious to ignore.
Cillizza wrote:
But “watch me” alone isn’t going to assuage voters’ doubts, which primarily center on Biden’s age. After all, after spending nearly two years watching Biden in office, two-thirds of voters don’t think he should run again. So there’s that.
Biden will turn 80 in nine days’ time and will be 82 years old shortly after the 2024 election. That would make him 86 years old at the end of a hypothetical second term. By comparison, Ronald Reagan was 77 years old when he left office in 1989…
…Doubts about Biden and his ability to serve a second term are a persistent problem, not a one-off from the exit polling. And one that Biden and his team need to figure out how to address – beyond just telling voters to watch him.
Democrats hoped to use getting killed in the midterm elections as an excuse for ditching Biden.
But Democrats doing better than expected also fortified the idea in Biden’s mind and amongst his handlers that Biden should run for a second term in 2024.
Biden’s senility is so obvious that even CNN can’t ignore the fact that Biden’s mind is shot.
Sixty-seven percent of voters in the midterm elections do not want Biden to run for a second term.
However, Joe Biden is astoundingly taking the midterm elections as validation that he should seek re-election.
