And now Mitt Romney turned over bombshell emails and text messages to push an anti-Trump book.
In the latest inexplicable betrayal by Mitt Romney Axios reports that Romney turned over emails and text messages to liberal ideologue McKay Coppins.
Coppins — who writes for the left-wing Atlantic magazine — authored a biography of Romney called “Romney: A Reckoning.”
In the books, Coppins will use emails and texts as well as multiple interviews with Romney to trash Donald Trump, top leaders in the Republican Party, and conservatives as racist domestic terrorists.
Axios reports:
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) has turned over hundreds and hundreds of private emails, text messages and diary entries to reporter McKay Coppins for a book coming in October — including real-time communications among many of the most powerful figures in American politics, Axios has learned…
…”Romney: A Reckoning,” to be published Oct. 24, “offers Romney’s lively and at times devastating take on nearly every major political figure of the last 25 years,” a publishing source tells me.
The book “will also show Romney himself reckoning with what he considers his party’s slide toward authoritarianism and what role he may have played in empowering the extreme forces within the GOP.”
This book is also Romney dropping a bread crumb that he does not plan to seek re-election in 2024.
Ever since entering the Senate Romney infuriated conservatives.
Along with RINO Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Romney serves as a reliable Democrat Party vote on every key issue.
Romney and McConnell helped Joe Biden ram legislation through Congress that confiscated guns from Americans who haven’t committed a crime, advanced the Green New Deal, bailed out corporations with taxpayer money, and imposed homosexual marriage on all 50 states.
Those votes — as well as Romney voting to convict Trump twice in the Democrats’ sham partisan impeachment trials — infuriated conservatives while endearing Romney to Democrats.
That took its toll on Romney’s standing in Utah.
Sixty-five percent of Democrats approve of Romney’s job in office while just 46 percent of Republicans give Romney a thumbs-up.
Romney may be a RINO and one of the least-talented politicians the Republican Party ever produced but he can read a poll.
And Romney knows running in a Republican primary as a virtual Democrat is an uphill battle.
Romney’s never been loyal to the GOP.
When Romney ran for Senate in Massachusetts in 1994 against Ted Kennedy as a pro-abortion, pro-gun control liberal Romney declared in a debate that he was an independent during the presidencies of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.
And now facing the end of his career Romney is committing one last act of political arson to help his ideological allies in the Democrat Party.
