The battle lines are being drawn in the Republican Party.
Some Republicans are already lining up with the swamp.
And now Mitt Romney gave an ultimatum to Trump supporters that led this civil war.
Mitt Romney and the rest of the Republican establishment made it their mission to nuke pro-Trump Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Greene is a freshman Congresswoman that few Americans had heard of when she came to Washington.
But the fake news media and Democrat Party collectively decided to elevate her to be the face of the Republican Party because they wanted to make her a new boogeyman to scare suburban voters into sticking with the Democrat Party.
Fake news reporters and establishment Republicans zeroed in on conspiratorial social media posts Greene made long before she won election to Congress as evidence she posed the greatest threat to America today.
Establishment Republicans want to excommunicate Donald Trump and his voters from the GOP.
But since they can’t vote to convict Donald Trump in the Senate impeachment trial, they settled on destroying Greene as their means to “reclaim” the GOP.
Mitt Romney led the charge on the Republican side to attack Greene.
“I think we should have nothing to do with Marjorie Taylor Greene, and think we should repudiate the things she said and move away from her,” Romney stated.
Romney added that the Republican Party needed to “separate ourselves from the people in the wacky weeds.”
The Founding Father of the Never Trump movement claimed that unless Republicans did what Democrats wanted, the Democrats would get to define what the Republican Party is.
“If we don’t, then our opposition tries to brand us with their image and with their point of view, which has been detrimental to any party that doesn’t do that,” Romney added.
If there was any doubt this was a coordinated attack, Mitch McConnell left no doubt.
McConnell ripped Greene as a cancer.
“Loony lies and conspiracy theories are cancer for the Republican Party and our country,” McConnell declared.
“Somebody who’s suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.’s airplane is not living in reality. This has nothing to do with the challenges facing American families or the robust debates on substance that can strengthen our party,” McConnell added.
Greene fired back saying the real cancer on the GOP were establishment types like McConnell and Romney that accepted their place in Washington as honorable losers and never fought for anything.
“The real cancer for the Republican Party is weak Republicans who only know how to lose gracefully. This is why we are losing our country,” Greene responded.
