Donald Trump and his supporters thought they could always count on Vice President Mike Pence.
Now all hell is breaking loose.
And Mike Pence disclosed one closely guarded secret that not even Donald Trump knew.
Donald Trump caused a massive media uproar when the President revealed he was taking the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine in combination with zinc as a preventative measure to avoid contracting the coronavirus.
“I’m taking it – hydroxychloroquine,” Trump said. “I think it’s good. I’ve heard a lot of good stories. And, if it’s not good, I’ll tell you right, I’m not going to get hurt by it.”
The President said he made this decision after discussing the matter with his White House physician.
Fake news reporters and alleged medical “experts” claimed the President was pushing junk drugs on the American people.
Neil Cavuto of Fox News and Joe Scarborough of MSNBC both claimed if Americans took hydroxychloroquine, it would kill them dead on the spot.
None of the hysterical claims made by fake news reporters or the quacks these networks promoted as “experts” actually addressed the truth about hydroxychloroquine.
In an interview with Fox News, Vice President Mike Pence set the record straight.
“My physician hasn’t recommended that,” Pence stated.
But the Vice President did say that he would have no issue taking hydroxychloroquine if his doctor recommended it.
Vice President Pence also shot down the fake news from so-called “journalists” like Cavuto and Scarborough that hydroxychloroquine was unsafe and would “kill” anyone that took it.
“Hydroxychloroquine is a drug that’s been around for more than 40 years for the treatment of malaria but early in this process, the FDA approved what’s called off-label use that physicians could prescribe hydroxychloroquine in terms that they deemed appropriate,” Vice President Pence added. “I’ve heard anecdotal stories of Americans who’ve taken hydroxychloroquine in the midst of the coronavirusand sense that it made a real difference for them.”
Everything Pence said is accurate.
The Food and Drug Administration approved hydroxychloroquine for use to treat malaria and lupus decades ago.
This would not have happened if the drug was an unreliable killer.
In addition, the entire medical community is not united in the idea that hydroxychloroquine is a threat to those suffering from coronavirus.
Trials in France, Italy and China have shown some success treating patients in the early stages of coronavirus.
Doctors and healthcare workers at hospitals across America also took hydroxychloroquine as a prophylactic to prevent coronavirus infection.
In addition, the National Institute of Health is conducting a large-scale clinical trial to judge hydroxychloroquine’s effectiveness.
Donald Trump was not freelancing when he began to take hydroxychloroquine.
The President took the drug under the supervision of a doctor and after they came to the agreement that the benefits outweighed any potential side effects.
Americans also cannot just purchase the drug over the counter.
A doctor must prescribe it.
But rather than cover the story honestly, the media created another fake news feeding frenzy.
