Joe Biden’s administration lurched towards another catastrophe.
And just when events threatened to spiral totally out of control, Biden found Kamala Harris created another crisis.
Now Kamala Harris fled the White House and Democrats are panicked as to why.
Late last week Joe Biden’s agenda sat on the brink of imploding.
Swing seat Democrats and socialists led by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez cannot come to an agreement to support two bills spending nearly five trillion dollars on socialist welfare programs.
Far-left Democrats like Ocasio-Cortez worry that if they vote for the $1.2 trillion gateway to socialism bill, the swing seat Democrats won’t support the larger $3.5 trillion socialist wish list bill because they fear it will cost them re-election.
Every other president would force a consensus on bills that they believe are the keys to success in the 2022 elections.
But Joe Biden is too cognitively impaired to negotiate and instead – as many feared – acted like a rubber stamp for the far-left end of the party and declared the two bills linked.
While Joe Biden’s domestic agenda stalled in Congress, Kamala Harris fled the scene not wanting to have her fingerprints anywhere near this unfolding debacle.
Instead, Kamala Harris and her husband bolted to Palm Springs, California for a one-night trip.
The White House provided an explanation for this getaway and reporters were not allowed to be present when Harris’ plane took off from Joint Andrews Air Force Base.
The Desert Sun exclusively reported:
Harris, who recently campaigned for Gov. Gavin Newsom in the Bay Area ahead of the state’s Sept. 14 recall election, appears unlikely to meet with local Democrats during her visit. Elle Kurpiewski, political director of the Democratic Headquarters of the Desert, said nobody she knows was aware of the vice president’s scheduled visit.
A news release from the White House had originally stated that Harris would “travel to” Palm Springs International Airport from Joint Base Andrews at 2 p.m. EST on Friday and fly out on Saturday morning.
This situation might be one time Kamala Harris could prove useful to Joe Biden.
Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin oppose the larger $3.5 trillion big government spending bill.
But Sinema and Manchin serve as a heat shield for other red or purple state Democrats that hold reservations about the spending binge but don’t want to speak up.
Harris served with the senators from 2017 to 2021 and her time in the Senate and her personal relationships could help Joe Biden put a deal together.
Instead, Harris absconded to as far away from Washington as is possible while still remaining in the continental United States leaving Joe Biden’s agenda twisting in the wind.
In Washington, inertia is everything.
The longer Biden’s spending bills stay stuck in the muck, the greater the chance they die.
